Hey again, so you think I should see and pay for everything earlier regarding the travel? I mean I'm also going to Anime North in Toronto a month before therefore I shouldn't spend too much. AX's website hasn't delievered any hotel infos and no plane ticket yet, and I wanna see my US authorization as soon as possible (even with it lasting only for 2 years).
Ah btw can I note you for any more doubts? I really wanna participate on Contests over there, like drawing ones and maybe even the Masquarade, however as an outsider some infos there kinda confuse me...

Hey I just bought my 4 day attendance to AX next year... Anyway I'm not in days with hotels, should I mail them in order to get advices or even promotions? There's a "Housing" option on the email they sent me and they say they mail people who're looking for hotels when they get available, but just wondering...
Know I asked it before, however if you go you're going the 4 days or less?

As for promotions, I'm not sure...usually special promotions are found in newspaper advertisement. Online, it's different...If you see a promotion online, it's best to send email asking them if the promotion is still available.
ANyway, I am going to AX for a 4day pass with friends. I'm going there to review stuff and ask questions in the exibit area (vendor hall/artist alley. I believe that's what it's called...I may be wrong. *Badmemory*)
You want to make sure that you get a hotel near transportation btw. ALso, any hotels that are reaaallly close to the convention center are too expensive and not worth it since I heard there's bad internet around that place because many people want to use it.
You want one that may be a couple of blocks, BUT if you see one that has a good deal (with good rating ofc), you should take it to avoid walking too much or taking one transportation to the next if you feel uncomfortable in doing that.
For example, I'm not comfortable with taking the bus but I feel more familiar in taking the metro station, so we looked around hotels that have the metro station nearby.
You want to have various of options since it does save you on a long run by buying the bus/metro station pass when you don't want to walk by foot too much.

Yeah, I've been looking for everything you said and I knew that hotels lower than 3 stars're bad. AX website says it'll be posting informations regarding hotels soon, don't know if I wait for it.
Anyway could I note ya for more infos if I have more questions about the event? Remember that as a foreigner I don't know much about there, only things that people say (they don't travel to go to events btw)

SOrry for late reply. And um...yes, whenever you're doing reservations and you're unsure about something, it is best to email them explaining what you need help with.
Be sure to always compare Hotel prices as well as ratings for each one. You don't want one with a 1 star or 2 star. 3 and higher is good.
