# About me
Well, what's there to say about me? I'm an art lover hoping to aspire and do great things in college. (Or in the very least survive!) I just graduated from high school this June here in New Jersey, and wow it got hot this year! Now my goal is just to lounge the summer away and vegetate before the overwhelming wave of the institution comes crashing down on my door in September. No!But yeah, I like to draw and color, that's my thing. I like dealing with natural settings and living things; trying to capture what I can see with pen and paper. Stenciling and pastels are also favorites of mine, but painting is a big no! Bad experience, all it does is seem to splatter and run all over the place, makes my stuff look a little impressionist and modern... Not my favorite art style, I really can't make sense of works like that, they look like those ink blots you see when you visit a psychiatrist...
But I'm rambling, I tend to do that a lot. I also like ceramic; sculpture work is my favorite, but I can make a kick-ass plate, vase or what have you. When something inspires, I go out and work on my clay or grab my pencil and draw away.
I plan on going to Rutgers University to study Biology to become a teacher, with a minor in the Arts, I know the two don't seem all that similar. But when one considers how much artists pull from their surroundings, well it makes sense to have a knowledge of the world around you; it just makes your work seem all the more real.
I'm trying my hand at writing, I initially did it to blow off some steam during school and my short story quickly ballooned into a book, Dragonfire; and that soon gave way to its prequel and sequel which are still works in progress. I picked an awesome time to start my book, midterm exams of my junior year. Like I said a little crazy, but when inspiration comes knocking, I happily let it in, even though I should probably be doing something else.
