hmm... it was so long ago when i first joined... the layout was certainly different and there wasn't chat (i don't think that came around until 4 or 5 years ago). submitting was a pain in the butt and you had to also create a "preview" for your art. this meant to submit a photograph, you had to not only upload your regular sized image, but also the thumbnail.

while the site has become a lot better in that aspect, it has become a bit impersonal. a lot of old friends no longer use the site or use it infrequently. people comment less and favorite more. not to mention that the photography has suffered - too many "myspace" photos. of course, because of the popularity of the site, we do get a lot of artists, which means a greater variety of art. it's overall gotten a lot better and more user-friendly. :) (Smile)
