There was an awkward silence over the message as Matthew didn't actually figure out all that he was going to say to her if she didn't recognize his number or pick up. "Oh- um..." He trailed off for a few seconds. "Soeur, Bonjour!" Another pause. "It's Matthew, and, I'm out and I got a ride home, but I don't... have the keys to my house, and I don't remember where I left the extra ones? If you have a key, could you... maybe let me inside? Thank you...!" And he quickly hung up. Just another thing on the list of things he had to remember how to do- Make proper phone calls.

A little while later, a car pulled up- Maggie's. "Mattie! Mon frere- I'm so sorry, I meant to respond, but my cell's been acting o strange! I don't have the spare, but I know where you keep it-" She said, digging around the flowerbed by the door. "Aha~ There you go~"

"oh! You didn't have to come down here to get me that... but thank you so much." He said, smiling. He accepted the keys, and fumbled around with it before unlocking the door. "I hope I didn't pull you away from anything important..."

T'was the night before christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring...
Except a certain dragon hatchling named Blazer who thought sleep was quite dull indeed.
The little red Night Fury waddled through the house, heading to the large tree in the living room, thinking about trying his wings at flying to the top to get that sparkly thing at the top! However, once he got to the stairs, he saw a stranger in red putting colored boxes under the tree! Blazer tried to sound the alarm, but all that came out was a little squeak.
This alerted the "intruder" who turned and smiled. "Come down~" He said softly, but loud enough for Blazer to hear. "It's alright, I won't hurt you~"
Curious, Blazer carefully made his way down the stairs and over to the man in red, who offered his hand to smell. "I'm Finland~" He said softly, sitting for a moment. "You must be Blazer! Marcas drew me a picture and asked that I give you and your siblings presents~" He told him as Blazer made himself comfortable in his lap. "So, I brought you some things for your dragon forms and eventual human forms!" He petted him, causing the babe to purr, huffing out smoke.
"I hope you like them." After a bit, Blazer was asleep again, so Tino gently picked him up and carried him back upstairs, hurrying past the door to the children's rooms which were quite open, very light on his feet. He arrived at Micheal and Secret's room and gently put the baby dragon between the two with his siblings before smiling and heading back downstairs to head up the chimney and onto the next house.
Before he headed up, he whispered softly to the silent house. "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night~"

"Hello Maggie," the Meiser greeted the blonde, and tipped his hat politely at her.
"How are you ?" He asked. "I hope you are well, we have not talked in far too long."

"I agree~" she said pleasantly. "I am well, and I do hope you are as well! I love the winter season~"

"Ah, I am better than ever ~" He chuckled, and with a wave of his slender pal fingers, snow fell from the tips of his fingers. He let out a low chuckle.
"I am glad to hear you are well. Has anything interesting happened to you since we last spoke ?" he asked as his polar bear sauntered over.

"I have a young son now~" She said. "A cute little province~ And also I gave up my job as head of the ward to have more time with my family. but nothing drastic~"

"Ah, well, I give your son my blessing, then." The male laughed.
"Long live you and your family, Maggie. I would love to meet the rest of the family some time, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, of course. I'd hate to intrude on something."

Alfred was crouched next to Maggie's bedside, the only light being that of the full moon outside the bedroom window. Said window was wide open, its curtains billowing slightly in the chill autumn breeze. He did not feel it, though. Alfred no longer felt the cold and even if he did, he was far too focused on the woman laying in the bed.
"Mother...." It was almost more of a breath than a whisper as he tilted his head, intrigued. This woman looked almost exactly like his mother, before the pneumonia destroyed her beautiful body. Unable to resist the image, Alfred hesitantly reached out towards Maggie's sleeping face. His claws lightly brushed her cheek in an awed, tender sort of way.

She stirred, her eyes opening with groggy confusion. After a few seconds, her eyes grew wide and she screamed, scrambling up as she pushed him away. "W-What the hell ARE you?!?!" she asked in complete fright, her magic swirling in her hands in self defense.

Ah, even the eye color was the same. Alfred barely had time to think that before she screamed and shoved him away. He stumbled, falling on his butt with a grunt and frowning in confusion. Why was she so scared? He did not want to eat her. Oh no, he would never even consider devouring his own mother. "M-mother.... Don't be scared.... I-it's me, your son, Alfred...."

She paled. "M-mother?" She shook her head. "N-no Al...fred?" She blinked in confusion, the covers up protectively between the two. "I- I'm n-not your mother, I'm M-Maggie-!!"

Alfred was at the bedside again in the blink of an eye, clearly resisting the urge to climb up onto it. "Maggie.... Father would often call mother Maggie... Margaret.... Mother...." He almost whined out the last, claws digging into the sheets as his torn lips quivered. "F-father never forgave himself... when you died...."
