Your artwork inspires me greatly I'm actually trying to learn how to draw cartoons I've taken lessons back in high school in cartooning and I'm still trying to learn now that I'm in college, and I wanted to know, is it a better idea to learn how to draw humans or animals first?

Thanks, that's a great compliment! In terms of advice, I actually think it's best to study both at the same time, and in fact study everything at the same time. Drawing is all about shapes and proportions, putting the right shape in the right place, and having it be the right size compared to what's already there. And you learn this skill whenever you draw anything; people, animals and even houseplants. Β So I would say work on both, or rather, work on whatever interests you in the moment. As long as you draw every day, you will learn no matter what, so keep that in mind (and your sketchbook handy). Hope that helps,

As much as you want, basically. Some clients are very specific, others like to leave it more open and see what I come up with. If we are talking about Amalasan, for example, I could do it off of the name alone, or you could tell me what kind of pose you want, what kind of clothing and build you imagine, anything like that. Either way is fine.
