the first few scenes and how it looks so bleh compared to the last scenes.

No problem! I don't even know what I did anymore lol xD Yeah, the scenes look much smoother and all towards the end, I noticed that as I paid more attention to details. But hey, practice makes perfect! 

I'm good, a bit stressed and lacking sleep since we have some cultural events and stuff going on right now but otherwise, I'm good, looking forward to spring and summer. And vacation, god I need one lol.

Haha that's because I was already animating but changed my style after the first few scenes because I just can't deal with lineart DX Especially 2000 frames of that! Also I just totally passed my research on thesis aw yes

Oh, lol, lineart. I can't function without it. At least a little bit of it, otherwise I always feel like colors are gonna escape somewhere and make a mess. xD

Summer...well, most of it is going to be spent working so not much fun there. I do get 20-ish days of vacation sometime from the end of August till mid September. As for plans, no idea. I'd like to go to the sea if the weather will serve me well. I miss swimming. D:

Lol exactly my style! Ever since I decided to draw more than once a week I've been giving less effort, thus the mess of a lineart and just murky solid colours. But eh it works! XD And thanks! It's just the first thesis though ( research ) After that comes the hard bit

Nah, so far all I've been doing is working and gaining experience doing various library-related stuff. I'll start gathering material sometime around the end of this year since my internship ends in February next year and the exam should be sometime in spring/summer so I have a few months to read and remind myself of all the stuff I forgot. Or ignored, since some of it has been boring af. >_>

Haha, I know the feeling; for a while, when I was an undergrad student, I went to sleep at 4 am and then slept till noon xD

Well, no studies so far, I'll probably start gathering material at the end of this year since my internship lasts till February next year and the exam should be sometime in summer, I think. So, that should give me enough time to revise everything. But urgh, I hate the very idea that I'll have to go through all that again. x_x

Aaah maaan! So I got mail from gobelins that I'm admissible for their animation summer school, which I heard
is hard to get into. But the big problem is I haven't saved enough money or any at all for a flight to france

Haha, yeah, we were! Funny how that works out. It was really amusing because I had to defend them both on the same day and I was sick with a fever at the same time but I nailed it somehow. xD

Ah, four classes per semester does sound pretty chill. Lots of time off for doing other stuff~ I remember when I had like...9 classes per semester. But I was a bright-eyed student, eager to learn and all so I didn't mind. Later on, I was like "....how the hell did I even survive that?" lol

Yep, that's at least a 100 pages worth of text. I nearly died writing these two which had 80-ish all together. So yeah, definitely none of that for me lol.

Haha, I've always hated writing those essays, papers and seminars so yeah, this was torture. Glad that's finally behind me. For now. >_>

Oh! Is it like those old-fashioned cartoon making things? Where you draw static scenes on separate papers in a notebook and then let the papers slide quickly one by one to make a scene look alive? I always thought that was awesome. xD Are you planning on working for some animation studios afterwards?

Haha, really? I thought 'bishie' was still used today. At least in walling lol. But yeah, I miss the 'old days', too. Back then, people offered you more feedback and were more involved in it all. Nowadays, everyone has Photoshop and can make something out of something. Making wallpapers is hardly considered something extraordinary or hard today.

ay seminars and workshops are good though! Those I can manage, but not the essays nope.

And yep! We do some of those too! It's like tackling the whole animation industry in one major actually,
we also had this claymation course where of course, we made clay move, like those short cartoons. And yep
I aim to be in some good animation studio :>

And yes exactly! Everyone was so involved in their work, and discovering many active wallers who love what
they do and enjoy just talking with one another, great times those. There were even challenges and top ranking.

Claymation? That sounds so cool! I sometimes forget that 'animation' includes other things like making inanimate 3D objects move, not just creating digitally created characters and scenes. Lol, one day, when you'll be working in some hotshot animation studio and working on a new hit-cartoon, I demand you name one character after me and make it totally badass! xDD

Ah, yeah, there were those things - competitions, challenges etc. that made things more interesting. As far as I know, only Animepaper had a rating system, Minitokyo doesn't but yeah, the participation and activity was more interesting and abundant before. I simply stopped trying, seeing as even if we create a competition of some kind, only those who are already active participate, the rest just don't care, really...shame.

And oh, before I forget, dunno if you celebrate it or not but Merry Christmas~

And yoo no problem! There's so much about animation alright! But mainly we
do hand drawn digital animation, or 3d which is what everone knows. haha i'm
actually taking up my thesis research right now so I need to plan my short film
as well. I'll keep that in mind, do you want it to be alenas or what? XD

Aah I miss being in communities like thatt, just be a part of something where people
participate in competitions, make friends and such. ;;
