In regards to your GFM image. I agree 100% however... I'm in Africa and my genitals are fully intact (I'm a transgender guy, pre-op, etc). I took a lot of offense to you saying "...living in Africa" instead of "certain parts of Africa". Because in South Africa, FGM is not extremely common. Especially in more developed areas.
Anyways, not trying to start an argument or anything like that just saying it's offensive to say a every part of a continent preforms a practice. Maybe you'd want to change that... Apologies if I've misunderstood.

hi! thank you, yes, i see my mistake now, i'm sorry, i've submitted that image a few years back, but i remember that when i drew it i was really emotionally upset, because that was the day i found out about that,and when i wrote 'africa' i did not mean it as the whole continent without exception, i clearly had in mind that it's done only in some parts, but i couldn't formulate my words. also on that day some douchebag went ahead and started flaming my image saying that the whole thing is 'not as bad as it counds etc etc and that nobody forces anyone etcetc,males have it worse' and i was just so extremely pissed off, that i left that deviation up and never even looked at it. but i'll go change the description right away, thank you!

No problem. It's just I always hear people bad-mouthing the continent instead of certain parts of it. Which sort of bothers me if the world sees me as a savage with a bone through his nose that goes around mutilating other humans, etc. So it sort of got to me which caused me to get rather angry and think/say stupid things. Apologies for that.
I hadn't realized how emotional that piece means to you but it's good one is passionate about getting a message like that across. I've read about the practice before... It disgusts me that people would do such a thing to other humans.
When someone goes up to you and says "it's not that bad" etc... Just ignore them, reply once explaining your point then ignore them. If they don't understand that is their problem and by them saying "males have it worse" they just victimized them-self which is pathetic. It's illogical and demeaning to play-pretend victim.
Anyways no problem, I appreciate the change

yes of course, i can totally understand where you're coming from. it's like when i saw my home country depicted in the media, it's always a poverty-ridden third world dirty place with drunks and homeless people everywhere (i'm from belarus), and people seem to not understand that there ARE parts like that, but there are also developed and intellectual cities and people there are as educated as anyone from europe, so please do not apologise for that! it's my own fault for making such a stupid generalisation of such a HUGE continent, by mistake or not.
but yeah, i was really horrified when i found out about how brutal this thing was, and how crippling it is, so i was completely shaken and tried to spread awareness and such...thank you for your nice comment! it's really hard to ignore and not let people get to you when they are acting like total dbags, and make fun of something this important u_u but i will try my best!

It's quite alright. The media is a bitch, it's very one sided when presenting anything weither it's a country or something completely different.
