Hey Guys! I'm just a person who loves to draw! I don't know how long I have been drawing,
but I know I didn't take it seriously until I joined Deviant Art! I draw as a hobby and am mostly
self taught except for that one beginner's drawing class I took in college. My artistic goal is to make
awesome art and to be recognized online one day.

Also, I love cats.

My current addiction is Dick Grayson AKA Nightwing from DC Comics.

Holy smokes, has it been two years already?! It's been too long!
Happy new year!
How are you doing nowadays? Still alive 'n drawing?

OOOOH VampireHunter!! (or Vamune, if you still go by that)

It's been soooo looong!!!!!  I completely disappeared off of Deviant Art and it's been so loong that I miss it!

Heck of a two years though for me and haven't been drawing but I think of it so often. I stopped checking deviant art cause I got a job, dumped my lazy boyfriend, lived the single life, then there was really really bad family drama, then I hit the gym and got buff, and then I got a new boyfriend that I adore, and now I'm job hunting for a better paying job or thinking of going back to school.

I kept thinking I should come back to deviant art, but I think my head wasn't in it at the time. I might start drawing again, but I'm so rusty at this moment.

I missed you! How are you??

Whoooooo sounds like lot happened these past two years!
Congrats on your new bf! Hope you have a lovely valentine together!
Good luck on the job hunting And you're thinking of going back to school? What would you like to study?

Haha, well, you're the one that always told me to just keep drawing even when I got frustrated, so I think I'll tell you the same
But when it comes down to it drawing is kinda like riding a bicycle, no? When you pick it up again after awhile you'll be rusty, but you'll have your skill back in no-time.
No pressure, of course, but I've always loved seeing your drawings

I missed you too!!!!
These past two years I've gone to study in Ireland for half a year, which was AMAZING.
Came back and immediately got promoted to head of a cultural committee and got to work on amazing projects!
Had some rough times with friends and cultural shock, but managed to get through it mostly unscathed.
Got new roommates that are just awesome people.
Now I'm finishing up my bachelor course so I can move on to my master course. I'm finally getting an idea of what I want to do after studying.
Meanwhile I've been mostly doodling, which is why I haven't put up any new deviations, but hopefully I will do so again sometime soon

Wooooah sounds like you are doing good over there! That's sooo cool that you went to Ireland and get to work on cultural projects!!!! I'm curious to know what kinds >.< How was Ireland and how is it so shocking?

Awwwww haha you remember the things I say sometimes I blather on about things. Haha I should just do some scribbles on a paper to see where that takes me. I think too much drama in my life shocked me a biiiit too much. I need to get back to the things that I used to love. I hope to put up some random scribbles on DA again.

It's so nice to talk to you again!!! AHHHH!!

Oh cool what do you think you might study?

For me I think I might go to school to study Human Computer Interaction or UX related stuff. Basically it's something like analyzing web and mobile pages and making it more coherent and easily accessible to people. It's a master's degree but I missed the cutoff date for the application, so I was thinking of job hunting so I can earn enough money to pay for it.

Life sounds like fun over there! I'm so happy for you! haha

We got to organise workshops for international students and other kinds of events for demented elders and mentally impaired people, aside from our normal task of organising cultural events for our own students. The experiences have been amazing and just so much fun.
Oh Ireland wasn't too shocking per se, I'm more talking about the phenomenom 'culture shock'. When I got back in NL I had to kinda reintergrate with my own culture and old life. Even if the cultures didn't differ too much, it's still common among people after a longterm international exchange. Regardless of culture shock though, it was an awesome experience and I'd do it again if I got the chance

Haha blather or not, your words helped me keep drawing.
Just doodling sounds good! Baby steps. You'll get there. Soon you'll be drawing Nightwing(butt) and others in full glory again haha

Aww Thanks! I'm so happy we're talking again as well!! and know you can always contact me if you wanna talk, ok? ;D

I'm not sure yet. I either wanna do a follow up course for what I'm doing now(Nutrition and Health) and focus more on molecular nutrition and mental health or go to another university to do a master's in biomedical sciences and focus on neurology (main difference between the two is that one concentrates on nutrition and the other on medicine for treatment/prevention). After that however, I think I wanna do a year of business school, so I can one day start a company of my own. But still a lot of study and work years ahead before I get anywhere near that goal haha

Ohh yes! I've heard about that! They also use eyetracking techniques to study how people read websites and what gets their attention and for how long, no? That's pretty cool! Shame you missed the deadline, but you're right, getting a better paying job in the mean time is a smart move.

It's really great to hear from you again! Man, I've missed our talks!

AlphaLunatic In reply to Vampirehunterneko [2017-02-21 21:21:11 +0000 UTC]

AAHHH me tooo! I missed the talks!!!

Oh yeah! I think I know what you mean by culture shock haha. Sometimes when you go somewhere amazing you just wanna bring it back home with you.

Man I am really wanting to get back into drawing more after talking with you haha. I think I haven't been really into anything that inspired me to start again (I might need to stare at more Nightwing butts to help me out). ;D

Oooh nice! You sure want to study a lot of things, but there's nothing wrong with that.  I learned that just keep doing all the things that you want to do really is the way to go hahaha. Sounds like a good plan to me, even though you are not 100% sure yet.

Yeah UX seemed interesting. I hope I make it and get good at it hahaha. Might take awhile, but I'm not too worried. It's just some hard work and time, and I think I will make it.

Are you into anything at the moment? Games? anime? TV shows??

I  have been watching Jojo's Bizarre adventure and trying to get back into comics.

Oh! I forgot to mention: I also read a lot of webcomics nowadays. Strays is pretty darn cool comic and Wilde Life is gorgeous. I also read Demon of the underground which has a pretty neat artstyle and set up and How to be a werewolf is a funny but interesting look on a girl trying to live with her lycantrophy. Oh and Tale of Two Rulers by figmentforms on tumblr. It's a Zelda/Ganondorf comic, but it is so well drawn and with a lot of great moments.

Oh I forgot to mention that it's awesome you are still drawing!! I wish I never stopped. XD

I never managed to get into webcomics. I checked out some of those you mentioned. Woah the art on some of those are amazing!

Oooh yeah speaking of Zelda, that new Zelda game is coming out! >.< SOO many good games coming out lately. I'm looking forward to NieR: Automata since the people that made Bayonetta worked on it too. So excited!

Vampirehunterneko In reply to AlphaLunatic [2017-03-05 13:20:32 +0000 UTC]

Haha yeah. I'm actually kinda working on a comic lately! Traditionally, so I'm not sure if I'll ever upload it, but I'll share it with you when it's done(if you're interested ofc )

Yeah some of those comics really have stunning art I think my favs rn are Wilde Life and Tale of two rulers.

Oh right! I didn't really look into it yet, but I hope it's good! Been awhile since I played a Zelda game. And yeah I heard platinum was doing the nier sequel! I haven't played the first one, but maybe I will if the sequel is any good. Shame that other game of them was cancled though looked like fun.

I never played the first Nier too. I just watched a video on it so I can catch up hahaha.

Oh which game got canceled? >.< I'm not sure haha.

Haha you're just gonna have to take all the nightwing butts you can get ;D

Yeah, at least it's something. I'll figure stuff out along the way haha

It's great that you have some confidence for the study. That always goes a long way along with hard work. Good luck with UX!

Right now I'm still into Lunar Knights(though I haven't played it in ages, but it's still fun to draw the characters). I've been replaying DMC and Bayonetta, so game-wise nothing really changed.
As for shows, I'm hooked on Steven Universe and have finished Gravity Falls awhile ago. I love how fun and clever those shows are. Oh and Danny Phantom!
Right now I am totally in love with the anime Your lie in April. It's such a beautiful show and it's not too long. I do still want to watch Jojo's bizarre adventure, though.
When it comes to drawing I mostly draw either LK characters or OCs still x)

Yep! gimme all dat Nightwing butts!

Lol I'm the same way with figuring out my life hahaha

Good luck to you tooo!!!

Oooh I need to finish Gravity Falls. I stopped at the end of Season 1. I watched some of Steven's Universe when it first came out, but then I didn't continue. I thought it was really interesting and would watch more.

Oh I also watched Your Lie in April. XD but I didn't finish. I seem to have a trend of watching stuff and not finishing it hahaha. I am watching Voltron though (Although I also didn't finish). Geezes what have I been doing hahaha? I'm so behind!!!!

Jojo's Bizzare Adventure is pretty entertaining lol. I like it a lot. I recommend it! (I also need to finish it)

I'm no better with responding in time I'm afraid xD
If you just start with drawing 10 or 15 min a day you should be able to build up some stamina I suppose.

Yeah it does! Been watching Batman animated movies again <_< it's one of the few franchises I love without ever having really attempted to draw the charas. Btw that reminds me, did you hear about young justice gettIng a third season after all this time??

Yeah I just need to get pencil to paper again! >.< I should stop making excuses.

Oh Batman the Animated Series is great!

Over here I've been watching Steven Universe. It's so cute! I'm still on the first season though. Also I finally finished Voltron and Jojo's Bizzare Adventure, which are both really good.

I heard about the Young Justice third season! I hope it will good! We can find out what happened to poor Wally.

Yess can't wait to see some of your work again! Just take a listen again to the guy from that vid you sent me when I was making 101 excuses

Yess, I'm trying to get my friend hooked on batfam stuff now too. So far, it's working

Steven Universe is super cute, but boy brace yourself. Heavy stuff and feels are coming.
Whoooo! Yay for you for finishing series! I still need to start Jojo's xD been watching the iron fist series on netflix. It's pretty fun so far.

Just finished rewarching Young Justice. I heard all the original VAs will return to the show along with the two original producers. Jason Spisak, Wally's VA hasn't confirmed anything, but has been teasing it on twitter. I do hope Wally will return no idea how tho. Don't know too much about the Flash comics to know what's possible in that scenario.

I heard DC plans on doing a Nightwing movie after Justice League, btw. That and the trailer of JL kinda teased Jason Todd. Personally, I'm kinda excited, but also kinda worried since their life action movies haven't been too great lately. For the robins like nightwing a series might be better than a film, but who knows. What about you? What do you think?

AlphaLunatic In reply to Vampirehunterneko [2017-03-28 17:07:03 +0000 UTC]

I finally put a little pencil to paper. I am actually surprised how much I remember lol. Oooh I remember that excuses video! I show watch that again.

Yaaay more batfam fans!!!

I just finished the first season of Steven Universe. It's sooo good!

I hear Iron Fist isn't that good but I haven't seen it yet. I didn't finish Luke Cage because  I couldn't get into the characters or story I was really close to the end though. Jessica Jones and Daredevil are really great!. Ooh that reminds me, have you  seen Stranger Things? That was a good show too.

Wow all the original VA's coming back? OOh and the original producers? How cool. I am looking forward to it. I bet they are keeping the Wally thing a secret for now. I'm sure he will show up somewhere haha.

Yeah, I'd be worried too about a Nightwing movie since DC doesn't have good live action movies. I feel like a lot of their live actions shows are either mediocre to bad. Arrow (first 2 season) and Flash are great, but Gotham I thought was terrible. I didn't see Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow yet. I thought I heard about a Teen Titans TV series, but they might have canned it haha. There was a Grayson TV series too, but that was canned.

Nightwing I think is a really great character, but I feel like when he is alone in his own series he doesn't really have too much of a impact like Batman or Superman. Nightwing's (and all the Robin's) greatest traits are based on how they related to other people in the Batfamily or Teen Titans. A lot of Nightwing's story is about how he wants to get out of the shadow of the Bat, but after that he doesn't have much going on for him.

however, if he's in a story with the Batfam, or Teen Titans he's great haha.

Anyways what I'm saying is the Nightwing movie might work if he is with other people. If he is going solo, most likely it will be about getting out of Bat's shadow. but I'm not too sure if there was ever a really great story where he managed to do that well.

That's my two cents hahahaha

Vampirehunterneko In reply to AlphaLunatic [2017-03-30 02:18:32 +0000 UTC]

Whooooo! and so it begins! Good to see the muscle memory's still there!

Hahaha yeah can't wait to talk more batstuff with her! Only a matter of time before she falls for the robins

Yaaaay! You're on a watching spree! Steven universe is so much fun! And so creative! I love it!
Yeah Iron Fist doesn't seem to be as good as Daredevil or Jessica Jones, but it's still fun(i'm at ep 2 so can't say too much about it yet). My friend and I did rage about how a psychiatric institution treated the main chara(since it was very unethical whilst the series was trying to make them appear logical and ethical) and some of the choices the charas make early on(they're kinda dumbdumbs) but I've seen way worse and watching it with friends makes every series better. I haven't seen stranger things yet! For some reason I've been kinda hestitant to watch it xD don't really know why. Tbh I haven't finished Luke Cage either haha

I secretly kinda hope Jason Todd shows up in YJ since they did zoom in on his memorial hologram several times in the second season, but hey that's just my inner fangirl talking I suppose xD. I also hope that if he does, he and arsenal will go on to have their many shenanigans like in RHATO and RH&A.

I have only seen Arrow season 1 and like half of season 2, but I quit because it was just very obvious charas made convienent choices to the plot because the writers said so, not because it actually fit their character motivation. It kinda pissed me off to the point I no longer enjoyed the series so I quit

I agree with Nightwing being better at interaction with other charas than solo, but I guess it's also kinda part of his character? Idk kinda feels like he's so much of an extrovert he needs other characters to really show who he is. I guess in that aspect the robins ate kinda like FRIENDS. Great together but not suitable for solos. (Again I think jason might be sorta an exception? Kinda because he distances himself from the batfam anyways. And he had this war going between black mask n him? Though he is mostly fun when paired with charas like roy n such. But again, idk, may just be the fangirl speaking)

Personally, tho, I think all robins would benefit most from a robins series. It would be best for them to slowly build up their characters first instead of giving us a movie with 101 flashbacks. Not quite as the comics but enough to make us love them before they go solo as adults. After that shit can really hit the fan.

Aside from that I don't know enough about nightwing to really give an opinion. His spy arc and/or mother arc seem cool, but still haven't read it yet. At the same time when I only see him being used as a tool for batman comics I feel kinda saddened since it feels like he could do more. Idk he, and I guess all robins, kinda fall in that grey area.

I will note I am tipsy as I'm writing this, so forgive me if my comment is all over the place haha

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AlphaLunatic In reply to Vampirehunterneko [2017-04-03 17:23:32 +0000 UTC]

Wooo at being tipsy! I started hitting up breweries. So fun!!

Haha I would have to see how Iron Fist is.  I hear a lot of my friends like it, but they are also the kind of people that say they like everything. have you watch game of thrones? Considering that the Flower Knight from game of Thrones is Iron Fist.

Stranger things is a lot of fun! At first it just seemed a bit weird to me since it's set in like the 80s and it had a bunch of kids acting (and let's face it, kid actors can be annoying to listen to), but once you get into the groove it's a good show hahaha. It can be a bit scary since it's horror, but it's a milder kind of horror. I think the first episode was the scariest, after that you get used to it. I recommend it!

Haha I quit Arrow after Season 2. It became like a teenage romantic drama after. You are totally right about character making choices just to further the writers plot. Everything could have been solved a lot easier if the characters weren't so randomly angsty at times.  I did enjoy it though up to the end of Season 2 because they pretty much took the stories from Batman and just put it in Arrow. Most of the stories in Arrow is totally Batman.

Oh that would be so cool if Jason was in YJ! Yeah, I feel like DC should already give in and make and show or comic book featuring all the Robins, and after that they can try to do a solo. That would be the best ever!!!  Sometimes I feel like the characters aren't handled that well, and I'm not too sure why cause they are all really great characters. I feel like Warner Brothers could totally make a killing on them if they did it right. I read that when Warner Brother make a DC movie, they don't even talk to the comic writers. Like why not, Warner Brothers?! They need some new management!

Apparently the person that is making the Nightwing movie was also the same person that made the Lego Batman movie. I wonder if it will be serious or a comedy hahaha. I still need to watch the Lego Batman series. Oh I also heard that Josh Whedon is going to make a Batgirl movie! I like how he handles female characters. I would totally look forward to that!

I haven't really read the Grayson series or the Rebirth series for Nightwing yet. It's very lighthearted and a fun kind of comic it seems. I was thinking of picking it up soon.

On another note, now I moved on to trying Korean Dramas and watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.  I'm watching the first part of FMA (original first) then jumping into Brotherhood when the story starts diverging. I forgot how good FMA was.

As of now I am hopped up on medicine cause I am recovering from a cold.

Vampirehunterneko In reply to AlphaLunatic [2017-04-19 16:52:30 +0000 UTC]

PFOOOOOO did I mention I'm bad at replying sooner rather than later? 'Cause I am haha

I've seen a couple more eps of Iron Fist now and I guess it's still not too bad, but I'm halfway through the season and I only like the main chara and the lawyer lady from Daredevil and Jessica Jones. Though now that the laywer lady is in the picture things may finally get more interesting.
I haven't watched game of thrones actually! I know it's very popular and good, but I don't really feel the need to watch it? Idk Lord of the Rings didn't really appeal to me either.

Haha kinda sounds like Grimm with the first ep being scary and after that you just get kinda used to the milder horror. Maybe I'll watch it sometime soon. During summer break or something like that :'D

Hmmm I guess you're right about Arrow being more like Batman than Arrow. When I started watching it I actually was kinda confused since I thought Oliver Queen was supposed to be way more light hearted than what they depicted in the series? I know DC comics like their grimmness and everything, and that Green Arrow also had some dark themes like addiction 'n  stuff, but I always assumed Batman/Gotham/Anything that dares enter the darn city was the grimmest of them all.

It could bring some nice action and drama if he did join YJ. Also, if Damian and/or Steph would turn up in YJ as well I think the rest of the team would probably no longer be able to keep up haha.
Kaldr:"Nightwing are you sure these are all the Robins?"
Dick:"Yes. Steph is the last of them for now."
[Damian appears]
Dick: "Ok. That's the last one, I swear. No more suprises."
[Jason crashes the party]
Dick:"Nvm"
It would be such wonderful chaos xD And that's not even including all the other ppl they'll bring in the 3rd season.

A Robins series would be awesome. Just think of all the shenanigans those kids will cause. Not too long ago a scene appeared in the Batman comics where Dick, Jason, Damian, Duke and Bruce were just having lunch at a Batman-themed diner, but it was great. I absolutely love the dynamics between the batkids. Also the stories of the Robins have plenty of twists, turns and drama, so there'd be a lot to work with.

That's odd that they don't talk to the comic writers. I mean, I know there are many MANY writers that worked on the several storylines WB wants to use, but still? If they wanna make and do their own thing sure, but given that their last couple of movies weren't all that great, you'd think they would at least contact even just one of the writers just once?

Hopefull somewhere in between? Nightwing isn't really the darkest of characters, after all. I did hear ppl on twitter demanding he stays Romani and that the nightwingbutt must be cast right. I wonder how WB will react haha. And I wonder how much they'll sexualize him, since he is pretty much the most sexualized male chara in the DC universe. I haven't watched the Lego Batman series yet. Only a movie, but I don't think that was the most recent one (it was about batman teaming up with superman against joker and lex luthor).
Oh there's gonna be a Batgirl movie too??? Nice! I hope Josh Whedon will be allowed to do her justice! She could use some good cinematic representation after Killing Joke.

I've actually started reading the rebirth series of RHATO and Nightwing! And I really like it! I'm starting to warm up to Artemis and Bizzarro in RHATO. RHATO is also starting to delve more into Jason's PTS and I like his interactions with Bizzarro. As for Nightwing, I'm loving it too, so far. He's starting to make a name for himself in Blüdhaven while having a job as a social worker during the day (wasn't he a cop before the reboot?). And as soon as he went to Blüdhaven there have been mostly stories centered around him rather than him helping other charas. I like how it's tone is lighter than RHATO, but still serious. For now, both lots of fun and pretty well written (and RHATO rebirth I'd say is better written than its previous incarnation).

FMA and FMAB are amazing. It's just really hard to get my friends into the series since it has two version that both have such strong and weak points.

I hope you've recovered from your cold by now!

It's okay I am bad at early responses too!

I started taking art classes again to get into the groove. but I am taking a beginner class, and I admit I think I am a bit more advance than the class. But it's nice doing the basics again hahaha. I really like the class and the teacher. I think he noticed that I am a bit more advance than the rest so he gives me a harder time (which I appreciate).

Haha I got really bored of the first episode of Iron Fist. I stopped it before I finished the first episode. I think it's one of those shows I will have to really force myself to watch.

You didn't watch Game of Thrones? It's soo good (at least the first 3 seasons are really really good). I think it's better than Lord of the Rings since it's much more mature and smart in my opinion. Lord of the Rings was more fantasy, while Game of Thrones is more...grounded and realistic?? It's a good show. The first season can be a bit slow at first, but a lot of the slow introduction makes sense as you go on. The Iron Fist actor in Game of Thrones a pretty good character. Although he's more of a side character.

Yeah definitely watch Stranger Things when you get the chance. Oh I also like a show called Mr. Robot. Mr. Robot is a really good show about hacking. The characters in Mr. Robot are all really interesting too. Totally recommend if you get the chance. (Lol so many shows)

they should turn the Young Justice show into a Robins show haha. Or at least do one season or a spinoff featuring all the Robins hahaha. I would totally watch that. Oh I remember that the person that did the animation for Avatar: The Last Airbender and Voltron wanted to do a show with Nightwing and Raven, but it didn't get the greenlight. Ugh! I would go crazy for that show. That would be so cool seeing upbeat Nightwing and gothic Raven do a teamup.  Ah it makes me angry to think it didn't get permission to be produced.

Haha there's so many Robins. I forgot who was the African American Robin that they introduced a while back too. So don't forget that one! Oh and Carrie Kelly too.

Yeah WB should contact the writers! They are just letting their best talent go to waste and making really bad movie when directors get too carried away.

I heard Killing Joke was bad. I didn't wanna touch that movie haha. What a waste on a iconic event for Batgirl.

Oh is Rebirth good? I guess I should go read it! Oh lol Nightwing's a social worker, now? XD that was my first job in real life lol. Now I'm curious how he handles being a social worker. I'd have to pick up the rebirth RHATO too. It sounds interesting!

Oh yeah FMA and FMAB. Yeah they both do have strong and weak points. The beginning of FMA was sooooo good, but once I switch to FMAB I thought the beginning was waaaay too fast and waaay too much humor and not serious enough for the situation. I think I am at that part where FMAB gets better, but the beginning episodes really disappointed me in comparison to the old one. I just have to keep going haha.

I hope you are doing good and having fun! I bet once I get into comics again, I might be tempted to draw haha.

Ohh! Nice! Art classes are so much fun! The focused and crreative atmosphere there is the best. Can't wait to see your art now! Do your classes focus on every aspect of drawing/painting? Or only a few like landscapes or anatomy?

Yeah the first one wasn't really that impressive xD Right now my friend and I just go through it with a drinking game (turn the subtitles on and take a sip everytime someone sighs(which they do a lot)). It keeps things fun. The actor that plays Ward (I think that's his name?) is kinda bad though, it's pretty distracting.

Haha ok. Maybe I'll pick it up. I do know a couple of Dutch actors got to play in it too, so at least that's neat

Oh! I've heard about mr. Robot! That's with Rami Malek, right? The guy from the Asterix movie and Until Dawn?
Haha there are so many shows to watch. I think I'm just gonna watch a bunch of them during summer break xD

We just need a Robins show period. xD
Ohh! That actually sounds pretty nice! Too bad about it not getting a greenlight I think it could be pretty neat, though I've only seen them interact in Teen Titans(finally got around to watch that show).

There are literally hundreds of Robins now we've had Robin Wars xD Ah you mean Duke Thomas! I'm not sure if he is an official Robin? I do know he's from Robin Wars, but I haven't seen much of him yet. He seems like a nice and down to earth kid. I know Carrie Kelly is from the Dark Knight Returns, but I haven't read that one yet. I am taking a liking to other members of the batfam such as Harper Row and Cassandra (I know she's been around for a long time, but I've only recently read comics she was in). I already liked Babs ofc. We need so much more fun interaction between the whole Batfam haha

Ahh Killing Joke. The first 30 minutes were a pretty badly written episode of some tv show filled with horrible clichés and a pretty darn bad depiction of Babs. I mean, the random bad guy with a super stupid name was pretty much trying to rape her and made all kinds of sexist jokes(including period jokes, srsly you could make a bingo card out of them). As even cinemasins said: "I don't doubt assholes like that would make those jokes, but it saddens me the writers would use them". But after that the killing joke part was not too bad? It literally followed all the panels of the comic which on one hand is kinda nice, but it felt like transitions etc could have been done way better. Like after the Red Hood incident the Joker crawls out of the water and sees his reflection and immediately goes crazy. I get that can work in the comics where the reader controls how quick something is taken in, but in the film it just felt too rushed. They should've taken a moment for him to let it all sink in. As for Babs getting shot being sexist? For the comics, I don't really think so. The Joker's brutally beaten Jason to death and tortured and brainwashed Tim among many other things. What happened to Babs was horrible, but it didn't happen to her because she was female. However, with the depiction of her in those first 30 minutes it does seem like she's only there to play the victim (after having sex with Batman(I know that also happened in the comics after BTAS, but back then it was creepy and gross and that hasn't really changed)).

The sad thing with WB right now is that they're trying to build a universe. Their stories and charas are pretty bad, but the actors are actually pretty likeable at times (Ben Affleck, that actress playing Wonder Woman, Jeremy Irons as Alfred). It would be a shame to see them let go if they decide to reboot everything. Also I heard that there is gonna be a Batman film, but Ben Affleck will no longer be directing it. Appearently WB is being kind of a pressuring dick about the whole thing. Just hope Whedon will remain the director for Batgirl

It'd say Rebirth is pretty good, yes! Or at least fun! Haha he helps kids from violent backgrounds find their place in society again. It's nice to see how his work also kinda helps him deal with his own issues. If I had to choose between Rebirth Nightwing or Rebirth RHATO I'd probably still go for RHATO, but darn it I love them both also I really love Dexter Soy's artwork in RHATO.

Yeah they really assume you've seen FMA in FMAB. For someone who has I thought it was somewhat nice as you just kinda rush through the parts you already know to get to the new stuff, but for newcomers it's not that good. FMA really takes its time to build up the characters and their values (just compare Greed's death in FMA to FMAB), but I hated the ending of FMA. I think that once Hugh dies in FMAB things get way better. Still love both series tho. And the bloopers of the english VAs are hilarious.

Haha I can't wait to see stuff from you again. Once I finish my schoolwork I really wanna get back into drawing, as well. I've been reading so much comics I can barely contain my urge to draw haha.

Woooooooah! You love analyzing things too lol.

Sorry I'm slow at replying. I'm still busy with art class and I've been going to therapy to get things off my chest and also I am about to be accepted into this spiritual association that helps spread spiritual beliefs around. >.< I've been busy with a lot of things on my mind basically haha. At least I am almost done with art class (just one more! Man,  it takes up so much time). It's just a generic beginning art class, trying different mediums and drawing tools, basic shapes, basic tones and stuff like that. I wanted to take more advance course but you can't go to a more advance course unless taking the beginning ones first.

Oh hahah a drinking game with Iron Fist? That makes it sound more watchable then. I just need a drinking buddy lol.

Yeah! Mr. Robot with Rami Malek. He's good in it. Definitely watch that and Game of Thrones. Totally awesome shows.

There are sooooooo many Robins and members of the Batfam. Ooh I love Harper Row (and her brother too). Cassandra is also really really awesome. I wonder where she is now. I kinda wish they knew how to write a good batfam comic with all the members. No one has to be the main focus of it too haha. It just has all of them. Man, that would be so awesome.

Hahahaha I heard the Killing Joke was terrible, but that sounds preeeeeeeeetty terrible. I also heard the animation and the art style was ugly. >.< Once I heard that I wasn't too interested in buying the blu-ray to watch it.  I think anything that happens to Babs would be consider sexist to people that are hypersenstive to these things. :/ I'm not sure where is the good medium is where she can get hurt (and everyone claims sexist) and be a strong woman (but not a man-woman.) I think Game of Thrones does women well surprisingly. It may not seem like the women are done well because they get hurt a lot (like everyone else though), but I love the range of women being feminine or masculine and everything in between and using their own personal strengths well.

I've been pretty behind on my nerdy things. I didn't even watch Wonder Woman yet! I heard it was pretty good which is surprising because DC hasn't had a good track record with live action movies. I heard a lot of the Batman and Justice League movies are going through issues. Like Zack Snyder losing his daughter, and I think Ben Affleck had an affair or something. I'm not sure if personal lives affect the direction of the movie or not, but I'm sure it causes some extra stress. I do love the actors that play Batman, Superman and Wonder Women. I think they play their roles really well. It's just the movie direction that sucks.

Lately I have been watching like the girliest shows ever just to relax after a long day haha. :/ Not gonna lie, I enjoy Miraculous: The Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir on Netflix. Kinda gives me a cute powerpuff and sailor moon cross over feeling lol. Its super cute. I need to watch more of Gavity Falls, and I wonder if the next season of Rick and Morty is out yet hahaha.

I think when I have time to relax, I'll try to dive back into nerdy things again! so busy!

I hope you are having fun! Tell me what else is new and interesting hahahaha.

Yesss I love to analyse haha

Finally finished my thesis and with that my bachelor degree
So now I'm free to do whatever for the next few weeks

Oh that sounds like a lot! It's good you have a therapist to talk to at least and it's nice you've found a group that shares your beliefs!
It's always good to return to the basics when it comes to drawing haha. Been doing the same kinda (really had to practice line art, because holy shit do I suck at it). Do you still plan on taking the more advanced course?

Pfff I'll be your drinking buddy if you want. Still have to watch most eps now that my friend and I ditched the series for Batman the animated series (she's loving it, I think I'm creating a fangirl )

I'll add the shows to my list! Just finished the first season of Flash, and I think I like it more than I do Arrow. Most characters are pretty likeable. Captain Cold is just so (kinda over the top?) INTENSE it's hilarious. The only thing that kinda bothers me is the sort of incestual relationship between Barry and Iris e.e I mean, aren't they supposed to be adoptive brother and sister?

Bruce has like 6 kids if you only count the biological/adopted ones. 9, I think, if you count them all. And that's just the batkids xD There are so many of them and the adoption papers don't seem to be running out anytime soon haha. I'm not sure where Cass is at the moment? I do know she was introduced in the new52  during the Mother arc. Not sure if she's made any rebirth appearances yet. Yeah, it's a shame there haven't really been any really good batfam stories yet. You had the robin war and death of the family, but neither of them really did much for the batfam. I do know that for the Annual of RHATO rebirth they're gonna make Nightwing team up with Red Hood and the artist showed wips of the issue on instagram in which Nightwing seems to be telling stories about the batfam to Artemis. Maybe we'll get some good stuff out of that. But I do hope we'll get more batfam centric arcs (that portray all members well). (on another note, did I say the new RHATO was good? It's amazing, go read ittttt)

I wouldn't say it's terrible as long as we're talking about the actual killing joke and not the prologue. The killing joke story and dialogue is still great and it's Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamil doing the voices of Batman and the Joker, so that's a plus. The art style isn't bad. Do I think they could've done a bit more? Definetly, but it isn't bad, it's fairly simple. The animation isn't bad either just a bit stiff. They really tried to copy the comic panel by panel, so the characters don't really move that much outside from the necessary movements. The prologue actually has better animation(more movement), probably because the team was free to do with it as they pleased. But it's not bad animation that if you'd pause it it would show awkward frames. I'm not sure how Babs would be able to get away from all the stuff about sexism given that the character has been exposed to the contraversy it for decades. I haven't read batgirl, so maybe things have changed in comics, but I don't really know many good stories that put her in the right spotlight. I know she was trying to prove her father's innocence in Batman and Robin: Eternal, but that's all I can think of. Again, maybe there are really good Batgirl stories I'm not aware of. I agree, I love seeing a long range of women being feminine or masculine and everything in between (it's something I love about Steven Universe), but it also goes kinda the other way around? I'd love to see a bigger range of male characters, as well, since I feel they're usually just one of five archetypes. Fortunately things are starting to change a bit more.

Do yourself a favour. Watch Wonder Woman. While it does have a few faults, it's a great movie. I absolutely loved it. That is a (female) DC superhero movie done right. It has colour, it has character, it has a simple plot and powerful character relationships and motivations. It has an awesome soundtrack. It has Flemish(it was so weird hearing Flemish/Dutch in a Hollywood movie) with real Flemish ppl

Yeah, I heard about Zack Snyder's daughter. It's so terrible what happened. And it's amazing he went back to work right after that, and that he could admit to himself and others he needed time with his family to process what happened and heal. Josh Whedon has been brought in to direct the last few scenes, but he isn't really allowed to change much, from what I heard. I heard Matt Reeves (the director of the latest Planet of the Apes movie) has been hired to direct the Batman movie and it's said he wants do to a film Noir detective movie. In all honesty, it sounds pretty darn cool as well as fitting actually, so I'm kinda excited. I also heard he threw away Affleck's script and wants to redo it in its entirety. Affleck's still gonna be a producer and of course be batman. Haven't heard anything about an affair, but maybe I missed that part. It's never going to be finished for a 2018 release, though. I just hope that after Wonder Woman, WB and DC will follow up with a good Justice League movie, but I am afraid they'll try to fit in too much again. I mean, they're gonna have to introduce two new characters, a villain(which I hope isn't Darkseid? Build up the hype a little before throwing such a huge baddy at us), and possibly the return of Superman(I hope not, you killed him off too fast, don't bring him back too fast).

Oh I've watched a few eps of Ladybug, but the animation bugged me a little too much xD At least the first few eps don't really give you a breather when it comes to animation. I did like the rest though. It is kinda Sailor Moon esce.

Good luck with all the stuff you're doing!

I'm drawing a lot now that I have free time. Mostly OC stuff(which I really need to post on tumblr (they're doodles)) like this  (though those all date back a few months to a year). I do really want to draw the Batboys and the new Outlaws though, but I still gotta practice before I post anything haha.
Other than that I'm not doing much. Reading a few classic literary pieces and trying to get a summer job as an entertainer for kids on campings. I will be going to Jamaica though! I'm really excited! Can't wait to see the nature there.
After summer I'll start my Master course in Molecular nutrition and toxicology. It's gonna be so nice to finally have a schedule again haha (while writing my thesis my daily schedule was pretty much non-existant)

Vampire!!!

I missed you!  Life really ramped up after the last time I responded, but I always wondered what that Vampire was up to and how Deviant Art was going. After therapy last year, I built up my self-confidence and then got a job at one of the most reputable Universities in the world. Work is really busy sometimes and the commute is crazy in California. Currently, I am in training to do counseling for a non-profit organization in my spare time. Plus I miiight get engaged soon to my current boyfriend. Lots of crazy things in the works that keeps me really occupied. I keep wondering when life will slow down so I can just draw again, but now I am sure I have to force it if I want to get my creativity back!

I wonder what you are up to now too! I’m excited to hear all about it. Did you get into that Master's program? That art of Rhana is really good! I love her expression on it!

In the end, I didn’t catch up on many comic books, and still didn’t watch Wonder Woman. Oh man, but that Black Panther was soooo good. I need to watch the new Avengers movie too.

Tell me how’s it going if you ever log back in! I miss you!!

Oh wow, I am always surprised when someone says thanks for favoriting.

I know it was an old journal post, but I agree with what you said.

As a female that enjoys comics, games, and art, I can never accept censoring creativity that I think it is not intentionally harmful.

I appreciate when artists take up a stance to practice freedom of creativity. So really I should be thanking you.

Where do you keep your images? On deviant art? photobucket? flickr? or another photo containing web service? Personally I use a cloud sharing service like Dropbox, where you take images directly from your desktop and share directly with others (since I don't like to upload everything online). I think if you have a google account, there is a file sharing service there too. If you use any of these let me know, so I can figure out how to teach you to use them. or perhaps you can take the time to learn how to use one.

It is possible it might not have worked for me because I do not have Deviant art premium membership.

Anyways,

One way to easily share a bunch of images and text is through Deviant sta.sh

You can always drag and compile sketches in a journal in deviant sta.sh.

1) At the top of deviant art HOVER (do not click) over the large green SUBMIT button.

2) a drop down will appear, click on Sta.sh

3) you will be sent to your sta.sh collection. NOT the normal deviant art upload page. You can upload photos into your sta.sh here by dragging photos from your desktop directly into sta.sh. Very convenient. Add pictures or other references if you need too. But if you already have the images on deviant art somewhere, you can skip the uploading part.

4)At the right of the page of your sta.sh. there is a button that says "COMPOSE IN STASHWRITER." CLICK on it. you will be sent to a page with a text box where you can type things out and to the right of that page is a side box with photos from your deviant art sta.sh that says "add media"

5) In the box to the right(the add media box) if you have no images in your sta.sh do not worry. at the top of the add media box CLICK on "deviant art" then click on "gallery" and you will see images you have in your gallery.

6) you can easily type out a description in the text box and then add pictures into your text by dragging photos from the add media box into the text box. I hope that makes sense. I suggest playing around a bit to really figure things out.

7) when you are done, click on DONE at the bottom of the text box. it will be saved into your STA.SH.

8) no one can see the sta.sh but you. So if you want to share your sta.sh, you copy the address link above and paste it somwhere the other person can see the link address. Sta.sh link will look something like this sta.sh/024ki0wlwg46

I hope this makes sense. Take some time to understand Sta.sh.

On deviant art there are other ways to share as well. But I think this will be your best option and it will be very useful to learn for future references.
