Thank you for your fast reply! I work in Photoshop too, especially for coloring b&w sketches or different effects and textures, but I have not dealt seriously with digital painting. I guess i'm too classic? No doubt the things become much faster and i'm gonna try that program

In the fandom I am at the moment I don't have any favorite female character⦠I don't like Tauriel and I think Galadriel is ok but, I don't love her that much⦠I think a female badass character I like from the Guardian of the Galaxy is Gamora

Kind of, Galadriel is a truly badass character, I like her but I don't find myself in her, ditto for Tauriel, I don't completely like her because this character seems to be "forced" into the story (I still must watch the 3rd movie x.x), and the love story with Kili looked a little forced too, I can't find myself in her too.
Lotr and the hobbit are fandoms with a majority of male characters, finding one that fits you is easier even if you are a girl, I think.
I am a weird person, I am very feminine in general line (dress, make up, hair and stuff and attitudes too) but I think as a male, most of the time I find myself in male characters, male way to live xD I am not lesbian, but my mind is very very "male inside". So yeah in a strange way I find myself into male characters⦠the decision of cosplaying Kili is also because I see a -more- idiotic me into him.
Sometimes I wish I was born male, not female⦠I'm sure I would be a really nice gay boy, but still my life would be easier under some aspects.

As a high school kid went through the same feeling that you're describing here. I identified more with the male characters and I almost hoped to be a man.
I find it very curious that many girls relate more to male characters and prefer imagining them gay over any female characters. There's nothing wrong in that per se but it's sad that the female characters are so poorly written! They have to be since girls aren't interested! I'm not necessarily talking about the LotR or the Hobbit (I personally love Tolkien's female characters but you do have to dig quite deep into the literature to find them). It's happening in most popular movies and stories. Even if the women are badass in the beginning, they always fall into the arms of the men in the end. That's such a shame.Β
I'm writing my own novel and trying really hard to build interesting, assertive, reactive female characters. That's why I'm so interested in hearing other people's points of view. If you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them!
Oh and if you like Galadriel and you haven't seen the 3rd movie, you're up for a treat!
