Thanks for the fav dear! It's always nice to meet people who adore dogs, since I'm a dog breeder and I also love dogs.
Am I right if i say you really like Salukis?

You're welcome. Which dogs do you breed? Irish Wolfhounds? I bred my papillons twice (well actually it was more accidental, but I had fun with the puppies XD.) so I know how breeding dogs requires a lot of time, money, and dedication.
Yep, you're right about the Salukis. I really wish I could have one, but it would probably mean me traveling halfway across the world to find a breeder and I would like a nice yard for it first .

Oh, yeah we breed irish wolfhounds. I just simply love this breed, just like all the other sighthounds. They are beautiful dogs! And obviously, my favourites are the irish wolfhounds, scottish deerhounds and salukis. Well, I hope that you will have a huge, huge house with a huge, huge garden with a lot of salukis in it.
Once you decide to have a persian ighthound, I recommend you to have one puppy from kennel Djaal Lhilal. This a Belgian kennel, and I know the owners; Marcel and Solange for a while. They are so nice people!

Actually, I haven't seen Stardust yet (unfortunately! ), but you're not the first who says that there was a deerhound in that scene. I will definitely watch that movie in the near futture so that I can see it finally.
Well, irish wolfhounds are the tallest and also, the biggest dogs on the world. In general. There may be certain irish wolfhounds who are smaller than certain Great Danes, but the average irish wolfhouns is taller than the average Great Dane. Though, this difference in height is not too significant, especially to me. I don't really care about the height of the dogs breeds. It's only important if you breed a certain dog breed, becasue then you must be extra careful about this height issue.
Woah, you were in Europe? And you saw a borzoi first here? Makes me proud.
And how did you like Europe? Hey, why don't you visit some dog shows in America? For example Westminster Show. That's an awesome, great event. The greatest dog show on your continent. You could see a lot of sighthound from irish wolfhounds to afghan hounds there. [link] Here's the link to the Westminster Show's final competition - choosing of the Best in Show dog in 2009. It's worth to watch it. The winner of the hound group was the deerhound!
Yes, you found their website. I also mention their name and website in the description of my photos which I took of their salukis. As you could read on their website they are number one saluki breeders in Belgium. The deserve this title, becasue they fantastic salukis, really awesome ones! You have seen their results on their webpage, and also the blonde girl called Linda. She is their handler. I met her first in this summer, and I must say, she is a very skilled and talented handler, and also, nice and friendly person.
But the most important is that Solange and Marce are both very nice people, I just love them! And they like also me. I'm sure once you visit them or just write to them an e-mail you will not regret itm becasue they're really helpful and treasurable people. Thanks for the promise, i really appreciate your kindness. I wish all the best for you, and I hope that once you will make your dreams come true and have a huge field with lovely doggies.
You're right, that's me with Dhiba. It seems that I'm quite talented at showing dogs and Marecl asked me if I want to handle Dhiba in Croatia and Slovenia. And I said of course! So, that was my first time with a saluki, but fortunately, Dhibe did well, and in the end we won a Best of group in Croatia. And to tell you the truth, I really like Dhiba. She is such a pretty princess!

Went to Europe as a gift for my 15th birthday, it was real nice, even though it was 5 years ago, I really enjoyed it.
Don't remember everything, didn't even know what a Borzoi was back then, I just knew I saw a very interesting and unique dog.
When I first found out what a Borzoi was months later online was that I realized the dog I saw in Europe was a Borzoi.
I thought Spain was much much nicer than Miami(where I live), I also went to Italy, but I didn't like Rome very much, Florence and Capri were wonderful though. Really wish I could have gotten around to Germany, Austria and Switzerland though.
I've never really seen a dog show in person before, I may see Westminster, but since it's in New York, I may not be able to go this year for it, considering flight/hotel/ticket expenses (probably isn't too much, but I'm currently not in the best economic situation, XD) and having to take time off from college to go see it. I always watch it on television, but actually going to one someday could be fun.
Oh, I think that's where I first found the website , but then I forgot I had found it from your comment.
All of their Salukis look amazing, it's no wonder they're top in Belgium. I especially like Dhiba and Hera. Must have been fun to handle/show her. It's very reassuring that they are nice people .
I remember back when I got my papillons I talked to some breeders over the phone, but a lot of them seemed very strict, many telling me they were only selling for show and asking a whole bunch of questions and about my age and responsibility. I know why they did so, but it felt rather intimidating back then.
More than likely when the time comes I will email Marce and Solange and ask about upcoming litters, before visiting, so that I could then go visit when I go get my puppy .
I'm really thankful that you have told me all of this , I was really having a lot of trouble wondering where and how I would get my Saluki/s, even though it's still a future plan, I was spending a lot of time worrying about it.

I'm glad to hear that you liked Europe! My continent has its own special magic, just like yours. The places you visited are wonderful, though I only heard about them. Rome is a perfect holiday destination for those who like the Mediterranean life style. Since I'm a great fan of this, it's not surprising if I say Rome is on of those places I want to visit in any case. Still I admit that the Italian capital would be more enjoyable of there wasn't such bad traffic, such crowd and such dirt.
Switzerland, Austria and Germany are all amazing! I can be said to be lucky, because I had the opportunity ti visit all of them many times. I really hope you will have the chance to spend incredible holidays in these countries! Once you get to Switzerland, you must visit Matterhorn! :thumb106849366:
I wish you saw Westminster Show not only throught the television screen! I'm sure one day you can travel to New York and take part in the event. I have participated in appr. 300 dog shows with my irish wolfhounds including the greatest events in Europe (like European and World Dog shows), but I haven't shown my dogs in Crufts, either I haven't been to America.
Well, breeders tend to ask many many questions from those ho intend to buy a pup from them. However, most of my fellow breeders only do this because they're worried about their pups' future background and owner. But I must admit, that are some of us who may be too rude and suspicious; thus scary. Anyway, you will surely know which breeders you can trust. I'm sure once the time comes and you will write that certain e-mail to Solange and Marcel they will definitely ask about your home conditions, the type of food you're planning to give your pup and so. But don't worry, they are not rude or something at all! As I said they are exceptionally friendly and nice people!
Thanks for the nice words! It was a pleasure to be of assistance to you! On their homepage you will find everything you need, it's updated frequently, so you can find their all their plans and events they took part in.
