Hey, this is really cool. Thanks for the information. I've been SO busy doing mommy things but I still find time to write once a week. I know! Once a week! I used to write for hours every day. aaaaaahhhhhh.. it forces me to use my time wisely and not diddle around with edits though. I've gotten a fair amount done!
If I have something by August I'll go for it. But there's a 99% chance I won't. We'll have to see!

Haha! Yeah I know, it's good to get it written and worry about the edits later. Sometimes it helps to flesh it out, then you can cut out the extra, but for the most part just getting it done is the key.
Tumblr and real life kinda ate up some of my time. That and I keep getting ideas for something I'm not currently working on, a nonfiction type thing, so I have to get that out of my system whenever the ideas come to me. (Better than losing them though! If I don't write it down I tend to forget it.)

I have been having ideas on an OLD story I had abandoned six years ago. I've been scribbling them down and I think when I'm finished with this project I'll pick it up again. Breathe new life into those old bones!
I've not tried a non-fiction. If I can't just make up a bunch of stuff, I don't know what I'd do. HA

Yeah, lots more research and citing sources. ^_^ I have an old drawer full of scraps of paper of old ideas, and I keep them around just in case. Come to think of it, I ought to rewrite them all into an 'idea notebook'. Hm... I heard that kind of thing can help with brainstorming.

Well, I'm pleased to say I am attempting my second official cosplay. Cost over $600 dollars. I bought period correct military grade wool, the right buttons, etc. Taking FOREVER to sew this thing. If I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it right. (or not at all.)
And you know, that's just me. If the kid wants to cosplay poorly, then whatever. But if a person criticizes others who are clearly superior, rips off others' art and poorly photoshops it, they almost deserve to get copied and trolled around the internet.
If I get any good pictures of my cosplay, I'll post them here for sure. And btw, your cosplay is absolutely phenomenal. *thumbs up!* But, you know, you don't look a thing like Zelda. Just sayin'...

I am going to cosplay America from Hetalia. I prefer gendergending too. I'm a girl every day. I'd rather cosplay something exciting and different.
As for my America uniform, I have another 10 hours of sewing left, and need shoes. I am failing in finding the right shoes. Might have a shoe authenticity fail. We'll see.

You could try to take the normal events of your day and put a surreal twist on them: like 'Event A:Coffee goes cold prematurely.' This happened because of a phenomenon involving ghosts or aliens, which you don't find out about until after the fact, or something. >.> Yeah. Heh.
