People have told me that before. However, they made their judgement based on a fiction I made five years ago, which I know view as terrible, boring, and nothing but an indulging mΓ©lange of impractical and confounding fantasy patterns and shoddily incorporated writing tips.
(Although The Way She Smiled still has some sections I suspect are poorly written, it is still much better than The Work That Does not Deserve to be Named.)

Of course it's a compliment. I don't get it why people can take it offensively. Is it really that bad to be called smart? o.O I suppose it's also a term trying to suggest unpopular or not very sociable in some ways-- then again, it's not like I care too much. As long as I have a few nice friends, that good enough! (this sounds a little cheesy, doesn't it? ^^')
