Hey, thanks for the tutorial! I've been trying (and mostly failing) to do a lot of the wire jewelry/jewelry making in general, so been scouting for any sort of tips. Your gallery is very beautiful. Do you plan your designs or do they just come to you as you work?

Usually I have at least a vague idea of how I'm going to wrap a stone before I start. Sometimes I actually trace the stone shape on a piece of paper and draw my design idea around it. Wires often have slightly different plans than I do, so the finished pieces don't look exactly like what I had in mind, but they're close enough.

A few of my really good ideas have come in the middle of making a piece though, so both ways work
