I've just started GCSE 2D Art, any tips you can give to a novice?

Hmmm, well I'm not really a very advicey person.
I guess the thing i would say is just practice a lot with very rough drawings of the basic shapes and then gradually increase the amount of detail as you continue.
Oh, and try and find one medium you are the best in and make sure you do a lot more of that 
i cant really think of anything else

R u taking both 2D and 3D. In our school we can only take either 2D or 3D art. Are you taking Applied art or something? I know the system is AQA

Mehehehe my teacher is complaining that I can never sketch big enough, I'm great at drawing people in my style I suppose but not fruits...I drew a packet of monster munch since I was depressed but thats it.
