Great bio. However it is best for you to put this in your journal, because as devious comments being given to you this post will disappears from your page, making your effort of writing this non-effective.

I like your gallery, ironic that its very summer like, and in life right now the summer is coming to an end. Keep up with your art work, I like to see more of it.

I'll note you your bio just incase you didn't have it saved, so that you may post it in your journal.

When it gets cold and rainy here on the central coast of California, a lot of people here comment about what an ugly day it is. I can relate. I love it when the weather is like this. Its March in Summerland, CA and I can't see through the fog. Theres something romantic about this weather. I always feel warm and fuzzy inside. Of coase... it's not so plesent to be outside my well heated house.

To Whom It May Concern:

The field of art enhances our view of the world. It communicates to people what words alone can not express, conveying feeling along with information. At a very early age I knew that I wanted to be an artist and contribute to that view. My mind is always exploding with new thoughts and ideas. The only way I have ever been able to control those thoughts were to pour them out on paper. I don’t consider myself an artist in one particular form or medium, but a creative individual who uses a visual method of communicating. Visually expressing my thoughts and ideas and sharing them with others excites me. I can’t go a whole day without drawing, painting or at the very least doodling on a napkin to get out all the ideas that are crowded in my mind. Through art I can communicate what I am thinking and feeling much better than if I were to talk about my ideas. I was inspired to continue in the arts by a wonderful teacher in elementary school. She lit the way for my artistic interests. The school’s art facility gave me access to many forms of media, from batik dying to ceramics. This class not only motivated me, but also validated art as a means of communication for me.
I attended the digital design academy of Santa Barbara High School and I was fascinated with the new technology at the time. Having tried many types of media, I have found graphic design very interesting and intriguing. I became involved with website design and 3-D animation. By my third year in school I was an intern for a local website company, designing website interfaces and graphic content. Looking to enhance my expertise with this form of media, as well as others, I enrolled at and am currently finishing my AA degree in multi media arts at Santa Barbara City College. While there I have been fortunate to have my work displayed in my own art show held at a local cafΓ©. Most of the work consisted of my acrylic paintings portraying industrial landscapes and the relationship between nature and industry. The experience alone out ways anything else I have ever done in my art career.
I would like to expand my knowledge and skill and take advantage of new technology by attending Laguna College of Art and Design. I believe that the school’s outstanding faculty and facility will prepare me for the busy world of graphic design and give me the knowledge that I will need to succeed. I feel that the creative environment matches my own ambitions and career goals. The size of the student body, the sincere involvement of the faculty, the advanced facilities and the outstanding curriculum are all reasons why this school stands out in my mind. With the guidance of Laguna College of Art and Design, I feel that I can achieve the knowledge and skill to become that professional artist I have always wanted to become.

Sincerely,

Ashley Cunningham
