Well,on the cultural level,we're in a shithole but it's getting a bit better now.For the most part,the people here lack any actual need to conserve their ancestors culture and,as such,we're in a bit of a rut.

As for Gay rights,not really.Most of the places here have an influence from Shar'ia Law and,as such,the homophobia remains pretty blatant.There's also Uganda,a Christian led place who endorses the death penalty for homosexuality but there are countries like South Africa that are starting to grow a bit more on this.


TL;DR we're developing but it's all baby steps.
