*grins* funny, I meant to lead you to my writing (link in signature) since that was what we were discussing Vooral ook omdat apparently we allebei eens onze eigen taal eens geprobeerd hadden... dat schrijft toch heel anders dan in het Engels.

AtarAtis In reply to Tap-Photo-and-Co [2010-10-19 07:21:57 +0000 UTC]

Well thankyou! Means a lot when people read. I quite enjoy the challenge of translating poetry, allthough the essence tends to change I reckon you just have stay true to yourself, so that even if the meaning slightly changes, the essence of you is still contained in the piece.
Oh.. NL.. juist ja..

Tap-Photo-and-Co In reply to AtarAtis [2010-10-20 02:09:06 +0000 UTC]

I was pleasantly surprised to find many Indian themes like Ganesha and Garuda!Have you been to India?
[I come from India though live in Britain.]

travelled throughIndia, my father workd in Karnataka state 3 years. I LOVE the culture and sari's and the people..
And Ganesha is my hero... hence he shows up in my art a lot (which seems right seems he is the patron of art and writing and lord of new beginnings and whatnot?!)

How intersting! It must have been a revelation for someone from Europe, I am sure. That people can actually be alright without much material possessions.

have look at my gallery, when you have a moment.
A lot of work on the underside of that society.

Not imposing but below are two recent random paintings-

TheMadMulatto In reply to AtarAtis [2010-03-18 13:20:37 +0000 UTC]

This was a piece that fascinated me from the beginning of
SOB's developement.
YEAH! Glad you dig it!

I took a look at the comments over there and outside of the
"Sweet Sweet Sheep" -'Immediate Reacton' piece of work from a month ago,
YOUR piece has provoked quite a
stir in the hen house.

That's been my hope...
that SOB promotes this kind of mental and artistic energy
which boomeranges back to the artist in ways that blow the mind
and make way for wider horizons.

Glad you're a part of SOB.
Love ya, babe!
