You need a camera that can focus on things close up. I have a canon powershot, and it has a Macro setting that works really well. A lot of digital cameras, even ones with more MP than mine has, aren't very good at focusing on really small things, or things at a close distance.
The most important thing is to make sure your hand doesn't shake, because that will completely mess up a macro shot.
