I've been drawing more seriously since I was 10. It helped me calm myself and discover new things. At that time I felt very alone because of culture shock.
I have an awesome cultural background which I'm very proud of.
I have family on almost every continent. Born with an Arabic Heritage and growing up in a very international school. Somehow ending up in the states in a small town, I became more interested in Japan and Japanese culture as well as my creative self.
I study Japanese on my own, French in school, and Arabic through my family.
I want to connect with people all around the world.
Recently I've been trying new forms of art.
painting, charcoal, pastel, film, and recently water color and ink. I always wanted to try water color, so i've been using that most recently.
Next might oil painting, since i've wanted to try that for a long time.
I've always watched movies, but these past few years I've broadened my viewing. I've been watching classics and older films as well as international films.
Kurosawa's Kagemusha left a great impression on me, it was the first time I'd really watched something so different from modern movies and I loved it.
My perspective on film has transformed over the years and is continuing to evolve, now I have actual more informed opinions! (haha)
