Kehehehe, I actually have a hard time picking a fav character, it´s something between Genis, Sheena and Zelos :,D Least favorite character... is Colette, unfortunately, she acted like she was the only one having a hard time mostly and it pissed me off, considering she travelled with people who had just as much shit, if not more, happen to them in their life.
Lloyd was hilarious in the ending, I wanted to scream was "EXTREME GARDENING" at how much enthusiasm he showed at caring for the tree XD And I think it´s funny how Kratos apparently ended up in Terca Lumireis, as he´s a secret boss in Tales of Vesperia in an area that looks alot like Vinheim.

yeah :/ its strange but the more times i replay the game the more i like colette.. i didnt like her at all at first, or lloyd but now i think they're both funny
geez the tree bit at the end oh yeah! and he gets those friggin huge wings too... i was just sitting there like wtf
poor krat-man... why did you leave your son?!?

Well, I draw from time to time, but nothing that comes from it is really all that great, which is why I delete it instantly OTL
I recently found out about a really interesting PC game called Eastern Mind: The Lost Souls of Tong-Nou. It´s old, as in 1995, but it´s so fascinating *_* You can find footage of it on Youtube, though there is no full playthrough or walkthrough on the entire internet and it´s actually quite hard to figure out~ But it´s soooo awesome~ I would draw fanart of it, but the creatures in that game are just too weird, haha.
And I replay Tales of Vesperia. That game is plenty~ Even though I love it <3

It´s instinct, I can´t help eeeet D:
I found this while researching another game by the same creator, LSD: Dream Emulator (which pushes the freaky level over nine-tousand, just sayin) and it´s really crazy, but so fascinating. You basically have to day and be reborn nine times and fulfill the purposes of each life you´re reborn into. Like I was this music-dude, Sha, whose purpose it was to find 4 musical instruments. It was easy, but man, I grew very attached to the character for some weird reason and when he fulfilled his purpose, he had to die. Oh the sadness. I´m still not quite over it XD
A youtuber named Azuritereaction has some videos of both games on his channel and he freaks out so much XD Especially in his LSD videos, that game can compete with Silent Hill in it´s creepyness...
Love ToV, but after rushing through it in record speed, I had to slow myself down a bit and started over completely~

I like searching for these obscure games, but it´s hard to find something like that nowadays, especially since Eastern Mind was done by Sony of all people. The Indie-Category on Steam has some nice stuff, but mostly it´s best to stick to freeware games, or really old stuff which hardly runs on modern day computers. I had to create a XP virtual machine cause my 64bit Win7 was too fast for Eastern Mind. But the sprite are still spazzy caused by the lack of frame-limits XD It´s funny~
Another game you should check out is Yume Nikki, a freeware 16bit horror-type of game. I have it on my PC and not actually played it yet, but it looks interesting~
You´re right, that´s a stupid reason. So play it! NOW! XD
It´s not helping that most of the skits are hilarious, especially after Raven joins. I love that guy. He and Rita just crack me up every time they interact.
Judith: It´s okay, just being together makes this place less frightening.
Raven: I wonder if it´s that easy? AH, a four-legged hell beast! *everyone looks scared and screams*
Oh, my bad. Must´ve been the pooches shadow *Repede walks in and barks*
Rita: Oh, you´re so dead. I´m gonna kill you and leave you haunting this ship *runs after him*
That scene is gold XD
And then there´s the anime prequel. While it is so full of plot holes that one wonders how that thing keeps together, puppy!Repede is the MOST ADORABLE THING EVERRRRRR!
*rambles away*

i want all these games.. they should release them on a compliation cd or something so we can play them!! i think they need to be given way more publicity.. it seems like the best games are the humble ones and the ones that sell the most are the ones that are frequently advertised everywhere you go... ><
haha i will someday XD not today though lol.. i actually wanna go back to symphonia soon
i have not seen the anime sequel but ive seen clips.. and karol was in the background in one scene woo!! karol is my favourite lol

That´s just the way things work today and believe me, it´s pissing me off as well. There are a handful of big companies, developing the same type of game over and over again and they always sell well, then there´re the small firms, sometimes the do well sometimes they get smoldered (is that a word?) under said huge companies, simply because they can´t afford the advertisment. From time to time, we do need something different, but all we get is another Halo, another Fallout, another Kingdom Hearts (after spotting Kingdom Hearts re:coded I really wanted to bang my head against the next wall, I´m sick of all the sequels and prequels and remakes from different perspectives and whatnot). But a lot of focus nowadays is on a series of games rather than stand-alone titles, let alone being experimental. Back then, financial pressure wasn´t nearly as high and today even games that are real gems might lead to companies going bankrupt (I´m thinking about Okami, which was the end of Clover Studios, mother of games like Viewtiful Joe). Back then, four people would sit down creating a game that perhaps didn´t sell as well, but was something that is still talked about today. I miss the day they took risks.
If you really want something different, you have to go faaaar back in time, when the video game industry still had some spine, or into the indie-section. Yume Nikki, the Touhou Project, they were all done by one person and they´re brilliant and never get old.
Ugh, don´t mind me. These days I´m really frustrated by the kind of games get all the attention, which is the reason why I dig deeper in the magical box of video games. I want more games like Eastern Mind, LSD: Dream Emulator, Yume Nikki, even Bayonetta and, like hell, the Mother series. Most of my frustration goes towards the horror-genre, though.
At least there will be a new Kid Icarus soon, for which I´m very excited XD But it will, once again, be like everything else from Nintendo, gameplay and graphic-wise.
Your favorite character is... Karol? Okay, that´s unique. I hate that dude XD

YES!! thank you, im so glad im not the only one that feels that way..
ORZ i am so so behind with KH.. i played the first one and 3/4 of the 2nd but then i left it for a bit and now theres like.. 5 more games!!! i really cant handle it.. and its getting a little stale :/
oh god and yeah.. way too many halo-esque games... i really find them boring D:
the studio that produced okami closed down?!? they should be one of the front runners for new experimental games! ive never played a game like okami before.. or since..
ugh that sucks.. is touhou project just made by fans nowadays? i never understood it.. was it ever anything 'official'?
why do you hate karol? XD and who do you like?

Ayanako In reply to Frayed-Symphony [2011-01-30 15:02:13 +0000 UTC]
KH is really stale, I think the only good one that came out recently is Birth by Sleep (which I find very hard, for some reason), haven´t played much of that one though. They lost me after I had to escort a horrible AI Cinderella through a bunch of Unversed :/
Halo, Call of Duty or just really every "I just kill everything with a gun" games of the first person varity are really annoying (and not only cause I have severe case of gaming sickness), but they get praised to death (video recommandation of the day [link] Don´t watch when hungry XD) Example: Bioshock, the first game was mind-blowing, it had a nice atmosphere, interesting characters, great plot twist (now if only I could play it XD), even the second one, that turned out better than the first. But now there was ANOTHER Bioshock title was announced. It´s just... GRRRRRRRR /o/ Okay, this one plays in the sky and not under the sea, but still. It seems like such an desperate attempt to keep their audience ecxited.
The studio which developed Okami is Clover Studios, a child company to Capcom, which had to be closed down after the PS2 Version of Okami flopped. The Wii-Version was done by Ready at Dawn Studios. A lot of the developers closed together to start Platinum Games, which was responsible for Bayonetta (which had a lot of Okami references and is silly and perverted but at the same time very addicting, if a bit frustrating)
No, it´s still ZUN who does all the work for the main games. There´re some side-games that are done in collaboration with other people, mainly fighting games, but the danmaku games are just done by one person. It´s astounding, really.
I just find him annoying. He freaks out about so many things and still thinks he needs to boast to everyone how "brave" and "strong" he is. I mean, if he´d just freak out, it´d be ok since he is a kid and all, but this pretending just grates on my nerves. Luckily, it gets slightly better later in the game.

ughhh yes i hate that! its like.. if theres a problem.. shoot it!! that really just leads to more violence.. maybe this sounds silly of me but i really wish people just didnt invent guns or anything like that ><
thanks for the video link, totally agree with this girl her other videos are interesting too ^^ there are no nintendo games in the game of the year awards.. and i enjoy them the most
waahhh.. still havent played bayonetta either XD its got okami refs though?? woah =0

lol thats okay ive been spreading the stories round my uni, although they arent as scary with me telling them in the daylight as they are reading them at night....
ooh you're right.. i think one of the last creepypastas i read said something like that.. about what kinds of things must have happened to us a long time ago for us to fear such things.. i do wonder.. that could keep me up worrying all night in fact :/
haha XD that would be awful.. although in the latest season they cracked what you should do.. wink one eye at a time!

I think creepypasta must be read, alone, in a dark room, in total silence. Goodness~
Ah yes, that one story got me thinking about why we fear such features. I can understand a natural fear of huge teeth, but not hollow eyes and stuff like that.
I don´t think the blink with one eye is all to effective. Ever tried blinking one eye at the time and changing between two eyes? There´s a change you cannot synch them so there is no split second where both eyes are shut...

Oh touchy subject~ The fuel to my fury over the last one and a half week.
Ehm no, I didn´t get the new game and I probably won´t get it. Nowadays I don´t have the patience to fight my way through english investigations simply because Capcom has no love for the german fans and decides we´re not worth a translation. They translated every other PW game but not this one which makes me really, really angry... And with really angry I mean FURIOUS!!!!
It makes me sad, but there´s nothing I can do...
I, myself, am also to blame for my short time memory loss when it comes to english text.

Ayanako In reply to Frayed-Symphony [2010-03-06 22:54:59 +0000 UTC]
They were too lazy to translate it and too cheap. They just threw it onto the market in hopes of still getting lots of moneys out of it. Translating takes time and people to do it, programmers and translators. Since the DS is region-free, we can basically play ever game from every country on it. The way they did it with this game, it´s cheaper for them since they only needed people to translate the manual (at least, for the Breath of Fire series they didn´t even translate that) and the text on the package... Since the game is now officially released, there will never be a translation.
I could get the game, sure, I don´t think that the language would be a problem, but I don´t support this kind of... nonsense, I don´t even know what to call it... They might as well just have left us out completely *fumes*
It makes me so angry, since, well, it´s Edgey-centric... Why did they do that? OTL I have the suspicion that only the first two games sold well in Germany and after Apollo Justice floped (that´s what I´ve heard), they didn´t want to spent too much effort on it...
So mad! And I´m still addicted to Okami. Damn you Capcom, for making me hate you one day and love you the other *shakesfist*
