Hi! I was wondering, i've recently decided I wanted to dye my hair red but I would like a more natural amy adams kinda red, I have had red before but never that red, you have about the color I would like to have.Sooooo I was wondering if you go to a hairsalon to dye or you do it yourself?
If you do do it yourself well, what product do you use?

I absolutely know what you mean! I have naturally very dark hair, so I'm always dying it to be natural red. I dye it myself, and I use two different kinds of dyes. I would start off with Argon oil Strawberry blonde, and buy John Frieda Radiant Red shampoo and conditioner, otherwise the red fades very quickly. I know the Argon oil brand also comes in Auburn, but I've never tried it and I heard that it doesn't always come out natural looking, and could look a bit too red instead of the natural red orange look. I sometimes highlight my hair withΒ Loreal Excellence HiColor highlights in copper, but that depends on how dark your hair is. I would definitely start with the Argon Oil brand, I've had a good experience with it, and if you buy shampoo and conditioner for red hair it lasts for a pretty long time!

Well I recently dyed my hair blonde, kinda golden blonde (my natural hair is light Brown with red highlights)
Β What color do you think I should start with ? Are you sure strawberry blonde isn't too light on blonde hair?
Or do you think it would work anyway?

Hmm, it might be too light, I'm not sure. I went to Sally's to buy the products and the people there are usually really nice and helpful. I would ask them. You might be able to use the strawberry blonde with a low developer, like a 10. I'd hate to give you wrong information though! I know the struggle of getting the right color all too well!

I hear you, I've been trying to be a redhead for years, and I finally got the dye that works for me. Ahh, do you have any hair care specialty stores? I haven't had luck with any dye from a pharmacy, the red never goes over my dark hair, you might have better luck with blonde though. Personally, I would order the Argan Oil brand online, I recommend their red really highly, as I haven't found anything better. I would recommend going with their strawberry/tangerine blonde color,Β and buying a 10 developer, because that won't bleach your hair. You might want to go to a salon and ask a professional though. I don't know if pharmacy employees know much about hair color. I know their products are pretty cheap in the store, I'm not sure about online though, because shipping always adds to prices
