Bit late on answering, but it depends on the mods.
Some of them I've gotten off certain sites like 3dcustom, some from pixivΒ and places like that while many I've made myself.

That also depends on the MMD things.
Some of them are an easy conversion. Some are.... very very troublesome.
It depends on who made the MMD in general as sometimes they mash up meshes and textures which makes it a pain to convert.
Or maybe they merge certain things that aren't needed to.
Then there's others that are perfectly set up fine and converting it from one to the other and adding 3DCG elements to get it to work actually are very easy to do.
And then of course there's at times you might find very generous people who made certain things and added the mqoΒ within the download where there's 0 tampering. In these cases they're very bare but at least due to being untouched are very easy to convert over.
Of course though anything that's in png needs to be converted to either bmp or tga but that's an easy fix/change.
