I am furious that you reminded me of a series that you haven't
updated in two years, I reread it all, just to catch up on your
latest cliffhanger. That was just mean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...You will let me know when you post the next one, won't you?

Just the cliffhanging.
I have held writers at gunpoint and dangled them over their own cliff before.
They start making new ground awfully fast that way. ^^

Hey good miss, I truly appreciate you taking the time to read my observations in Hyperborean , and it's an absolute honor to show me that you found something to connect with through your favorite.

I'm not sure how you managed to stumble upon an older writing of mine, but it's one that holds a meaningful place in my heart, so it means more than words can put meaning to. Thank you.

Thank you for the on my Disney Confession about Kuzco and Richard II!

Normally I'd stop there. And most likely our entire interaction for the rest of our lives would begin and end with that one sentence.

Luckily (at least for me; I hope for you, too), I was so intrigued by the piece you chose to Favorite that I looked at the rest of your page. And then from your page to your gallery. And now I'm Watching you. Your work is awesome; I've only skimmed most of it so far, but I look forward to getting lost in it in the future.

So I have one more "thank you" for you as well, now...

Thank you for reminding me that there are others like me out there.

Wow! It's so rare for me to get BRILLIANT messages like this!

(Thinks about how I should probably update my actual page to be more relevant...)

Thank you SO SO SO much for taking an interest in the many random drabbles I have accumulated over the years! It's so nice to be told you're intriguing every once in a while!!!

I have only recently been really infected with the Shakespeare bug (I'm currently in a production of Measure for Measure and my soul is a bit consumed by the Bard at the moment!) I have yet to actually read/see Richard II, but I'll get there! You're comparison was FANTASTIC though and makes me look forward to reading/seeing it all the more!!!

You are very eloquent, judging from your message, and I look forward to rummaging through your work as well!

Remember that YANA and that YOU ARE UNIQUE IN THE UNIVERSE!!!! THANK YOU FOR EXISTING AND BEING A BRILLIANT HUMAN BEING AND WATCHING AND FAV-ING AND ALL THAT JAZZ!!!      ~Bridgette

GAAAH Measure for Measure was my first play!!! (Outside of school plays.) And still one of my all-time favorites. Who are you in it?! My first time, I was the Provost and Mistress Overdone. (Which was interesting, because I was 10 at the time, and let's just say I was... sheltered. Bravo to my director for having a 10-year-old girl go up to him and say, "What's a prostitute?" and actually explain it without freaking out. Also, the costume had boob padding. ) I did it again in 2012, and though by that time I was playing much larger roles normally, I was having a bit of trouble in my life outside of the theater, so I requested a smaller role. I ended up being so pleased, because I got to reprise my role as the Provost and play Barnadine in my off-cast!!!

Oh, I hope this isn't too forward of me, but if you want to see me as Barnadine, I have a video on dA: shakespearefreak.deviantart.co…

Oh, and Richard II will drown you in tears, but you should read/see it anyway. The Hollow Crown's take on it is brilliant, but I should warn you, it's abridged (and parts of it near the end--like who Richard's murderer is--are actually changed, which annoys me). It flows very well, though, and Ben Whishaw is my new favorite Richard.

Oh, and may I say, finding someone whose poetry I really, really enjoy, like yours, is so hard for me! I don't read poetry a lot, and I don't even like my own that much... or rather, I like what I've written (mostly), but I don't consider myself a poet. I'm an actress who writes fiction as a hobby, and every once in a long while a poem will happen to pop into my head and be willing to pose there long enough for me to type it up.

And thank you for exactly the same things!

Actually, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I go to a fairly small school, so I'm playing 4 different parts (Juliet, the Boy [since I play the viola], Elbow, and BARNARDINE)! It's a challenge, but I'm loving it so far! Once I read Richard II, I am hoping to get my hands on a copy of the RSC's version with David Tennant in the title role. He is one of my favourite actors and I think he's BRILLIANT in whatever he does!

Props to your director for doing M4M with young kids!

I'm glad you're enjoying my poetry!

Well, I really have to go to bed now! I will watch your video soon and thank you SO SO SO much for talking with me and being cool in general!

AWESOME! Barnadine is pure epicness, he has about 5 minutes where he actually speaks and he STILL totally steals the show!!! And Elbow's such an adorable idiot. That one line where he says "Seven year... and a half, sir!" actually became a thing at my theater during the 2012 show. "Hey, what time is it?" "[looks at clock] Oh, about 4:00... and a half, sir!" And we'd crack up like it was the funniest thing ever. (The same thing happened in George Bernard Shaw's St. Joan. There's this one bit in the trial scene where John de Stogumber points out that Joan stole the Bishop of Senlis' horse. And he keeps bringing it up. A LOT. Until finally Cauchon yells at him, "Oh, devil take the Bishop's horse and you too!" So during rehearsals, we'd just randomly accuse people of stealing the Bishop's horse. It. was. AWESOME.)

UGH, I wanna see that so badly and I haven't yet! Tennant wasn't my favorite Doctor (that was Smith), but he is brilliant, and I've seen part of the deposition scene with him on YouTube and thought he was great. Some of the commenters on YT seemed to think it was stupid that he was being funny in that scene, but Richard II is actually kind of tongue-in-cheek at points. It'll go from deeply tragic to hilarious in a single line. And Richard himself is very funny, either unintentionally (through his sudden mood swings and overdramatic personality), or intentionally (he's clever as hell and LOVES backing his disloyal subjects into a corner with his words. It's his little way of pointing out that they may be able to beat him through the strength of their supporters, but he's still got the upper hand on the mental battlefield. Cheeky bastard). I thought Tennant really emphasized that side of the character, and I'd LOVE to see the rest!!!

Oh, BTW, Tennant played Angelo from M4M in a bit for a documentary called Conjuring Shakespeare. The scene's actually there to talk about camera work, which I think is really odd, because Tennant is brilliant as usual, but the camera work... not so much. www.youtube.com/watch?v=uz4_ec…

Yeah, my theater is actually mostly for kids aged 7-18 (roughly... I've seen kids as young as 5--and let me tell you, you haven't lived until you've seen a 5-year-old girl, shorter standing up than I am sitting down, in a fake grey beard, reciting every line of Lord Montague without skipping a word--and as old as 20). We also have "mixed-age productions" (for adults and children), "veterans productions" (for actors 14-26 who have been in at least two previous productions with our theater), and the Adult Shakespeare Circle (for 18 and up), as well as the Dickens Dramatic Reading Society and Brief Focused Workshops, which are open to all actors of any age and experience level. There is no "dumbing down" the words or the messages... we do most of our plays uncut, and there is tragedy and horror and lust and madness and all those other things Shakespeare is full of that kids aren't supposed to be able to understand. And the director and interns and the actors themselves make sure that no one goes onstage without knowing exactly what they're talking about. Like when I asked what a prostitute was, and Richard (the director) explained it to me. He didn't beat around the bush, he didn't sugarcoat it, but he also didn't tell me anything in an inappropriate manner or give me any details I didn't need to know for the role. He respected me as both a child, by not giving me "icky" details, and as a person, by being honest with me. He explained it as a fact, without any embarrassment or hesitation. That's why the man's my bloody hero.

Yeah, I am! I have to go to bed myself though... it's almost 2:00 am here and I think I've stopped being able to appreciate it as much as it deserves. Tomorrow, when I'm thinking more clearly, I'm going to check out your short stories as well. Goodnight, I hope you slept well (as it'll be tomorrow when you read this), I look forward to your thoughts on the video (and am trying not to stress over it, haha), and thank you for being awesome!

P.S. I forgot to mention before... you know, I don't think I'd ever heard the phrase "YANA" before, but I still knew what it meant without any Googling. Maybe I just needed to hear it so badly.

P.P.S. I hope to God I don't scare you off with my overlong posts. *bites lip*

Also, I just read your "About Me." You sound like a really awesome and fascinating person. BBC's Sherlock is fantastic and I often feel as an American that fate goofed and simply didn't put me in the U.K. by accident. However, I wish you luck in all of your endeavors!
