That's cool man. If someone famous appreciate your work then that's good!! I've been a fan of Guyver since 1989. Bought a original Yoshiki Takaya's volume 6. I remember getting some of my metal CDs signed by the bands were awesome!! I have Frank Lampard signed England t-shirt as well!! lol David Hayter is probably most famous for doing that Konami games!!

Metal Gear, that was how I started talking to him. I entered a Metal Gear 25th Anniversary Fan Comp which I was a runner up. I asked him if I could do a portrait of him and he gave the ok.

Same here dude, When I first joined here and twitter I was asking for tips on how to improve and some replied and some never. 

I'm a nobody hobby artist who does this in my spare time from work as a stress relief.

I look at the work on here and it's like OMG I'm never gonna do that, I keep practicing and always look to learn new skills. Some on here do this as a job and I would love one day to be as good as then.

i like the nobodies best. Much to learn and share there. 
People do not comment much beyond 'nice job' but I have found most really appreciate a more personal insightful response. More to learn that way.

Agreed. I'm a total nobody and I draw and paint for fun as a hobby. I don't have much confidence and had very little if any at all when I started nearly 3 years ago. I gave my self a silly name rather than my own name as I was sure I would get laughed at.

I have grown to like my user name and my confidence is improving. There are some amazing people on here and some talk and some don't.

I don't think of it as a hobby but as something we MUST do. 
The word hobby belittles and allows the non creative sector of the world treat our endeavors as a bit less important than theirs.

Thanks, I'm poor at the moment which I guess is why it's a hobby. I have had some pieces published but never any cash lol. I also have had permission of a few celebrities to do there portraits and even have a few follow me on twitter. I think it will take years to really get anywhere with it. I have also been involved in a bbc documentry were my skills are being put to use and I hope to get noticed with that. 

I can't say to much about that as I had to sign a contract with the bbc and I hope when the documentry is aired to add that to my art CV. It's crazy that it happened and is more about my work than anything else.
