I'm a lot less sure than you are... since I've never drawn anything in my life which has been great, ergo the sketches are more likely to be spectacularly awful - if they're anything like the rest of my art, that is.

Ah, I'm sure it has been - though for me, I'm doing a f***ing MEDICAL DEGREE right now, so I have an idea of what "crazy work" is like as well.

Aww, really? Well, I don't want to put you off, but I would have to warn you that no-one but myself has ever drawn a full-body picture of a Krovendrakk correctly without having had one or two redlines done first, and even then...
Their anatomy is very specific, and easy to miss out bits on. Plus, I have to REALLY underline this fact - Krovendraekk are not canines, they are not related to canines, and they do not share any body structure with canines - so if you might consider drawing one, best not to use any references of any canine creatures whatsoever, since these will only lead you further away from "true" Krovendrakk anatomy.

Also, I do have redlines of other people's sketches of them in my scraps if you want a look first, since I point out some mistakes in those first which might help. Another thing - ribs are ALWAYS visible, don't forget that feature, hehe! Also, the intermetatarsal joint is an important and unique feature not seen in any other species either real or imaginary that I've come across - if it's a full-body drawing, that's also one of the "don't forget this" features. :'D

Also, I don't permit people to make their own Krovendrakk characters (aside from my very closest friends), so if you want to draw one, best to draw one of my existing characters instead, or even the generic guy on the species reference sheet might be an option. (even though he's not truly a character, but he does still count as a "premade design" by myself, to get around the problem of not designing one for your own.)

So yes, by all means go ahead, and such a fantastic artist as you I'm sure you'd do an amazing job and draw one several thousand times better than I ever could, because I can't draw at all, but I would say that from what other people have told me, they're very difficult to draw correctly... just to warn you of their trickiness.
I hope I haven't put you off too much since I know you're absolutely fantastic, but I just thought I'd let you know a few things first since they're quite an in-depth and specific species, and hard to draw correctly, so just in case you get frustrated. :'D

You really don't have to draw one though, I don't deserve epic fan art, and neither do my species! :'D Still, it would be a very kind thing indeed for you to do, and if you need any help or advice when it comes to drawing them, just let me know and I can try to help!

Ah well, I DID create a new species, but then again, that was more to do with my head... I made them, but I can't actually DRAW them. :'D
And aww, good luck with that - heh, word of advice - don't make them as ridiculously complicated as Krovendraekk! (I actually typed two pages yesterday in a comment to someone just talking about the unique structure and function of Krovendrakk paws. )

Haha, I thought in terms of our conversation recently that you were gonna design your own species, I must have gotten confused!

I do however have to say that I did specifically point out that I do not allow others to design a Krovendrakk character, and any "fan art" must therefore be of one of my official characters or of the generic cream-and-tan guy on the species reference... sorry...
HOWEVER... since she's not shaded yet and is just a line drawing from the neck up, you could just do it like a female version of the generic reference guy on the species ref, and just use his colours and his design for his metal bits, that would be ok and would work... (or you could colour her to look like Reivana I guess, the dark purple female I have with blue iridescence ^^ )

I'm sorry, it's my fault, I thought I made it clear but I probably haven't made it clear enough.

Regardless though it probably DOES look great as you say - likely a hundred thousand times better looking than I could ever do since I can't draw at all!

Perhaps - but if you do, please either draw the generic character on the reference or one of my own characters, since this drawing is a plain headshot so it's alright, but I don't think you quite got what I meant earlier by them being a closed species... so if you do want to draw a full body, it would need to be one of my OCs or the generic character on the species reference.

Ah, well, it's because all of my art looks like crap - I can't shade, I can't colour, I can't do poses, I can't do lighting, I can't do backgrounds, I can't do details, I can't do anatomy and I can't do perspective.
Those things are necessary to make it look good, and I'm terrible at drawing all of them.

Ah, no... I can't do either. The terminology I mentioned there applies to all art mediums, both digital and traditional - shading is a generic skill applying to both digital and traditional, as is perspective, as is lighting, as is anatomy, as is detail... they're just general skills, which I lack in all forms of art.
But although I prefer digital art (since I like to make very small details, and I prefer being able to make extra-tiny brush sizes in digital, plus I find digital is more convenient for me since I move about a lot in my course and to take colouring supplies would mean moving lots of stuff around :'D) , I do still do traditional art - here are some drawings I made with ballpoint pen: vannjaren.deviantart.com/art/O…  vannjaren.deviantart.com/art/I…  vannjaren.deviantart.com/art/R…  vannjaren.deviantart.com/art/R… (some are kinda old - I don't even have the last guy as a "character" anymore :'D Old art is old, and kinda... messy. )
I'm weird and actually far prefer ballpoint pen to pencil. :'D
I used to use coloured pencils a lot when I was younger, but I find the handy thing with digital art is the range of colours - I'd have to carry around a lot of pencils to get the same range of colours, and I don't have room for that! Also, a big thing is that a lot of my art is dark, so trying to get that intense a dark colour is tricky on paper since you have to lean so hard, and it often causes the paper to go wrinkly and gives the shadowy bits a waxy look I'm not so keen on. Plus I've gotten used to digital art and prefer it now, I guess I just feel more comfortable with it - I may do some more coloured pencil drawings in the future(after I clear a big backlog of digital concepts I may consider it) but if anything it's been so long that I'm scared of how terrible it would be since I'd be so damned rusty!.
I will likely do more ballpoint pen drawings in the future, guess it just depends whenever I feel like it, and whenever I get time to draw, since that's not very often. My course is evil...

However, though I do digital art, I do NOT use any premade brushes, stocks, filters, textures(well, rarely I'll use one for a simple bg, but a lot of traditional artists do this too!), lighting or smudge tools etc. - I just use the round hard brush, so my technique is essentially exactly the same as I do my pen drawings, just in different colours - because I use the simplest digital tools possible, the technique is basically the same as for traditional art. (unlike the vast majority of digital artists who do use those other things)

Ah, well, that particular one isn't that old - the one of the chimera though is quite an old drawing.
Yes, well, I have a lot of unfinished digital stuff I want to work on when I get a bit of time, but I may well find myself in the mood for a pen drawing at a random moment, so although I don't have one planned, who knows when I might decide to do one?

Ah, well you draw very well in pencil indeed - I would personally recommend trying ballpoint pen (biro) too, since it's probably my favourite traditional medium instead of pencil, and I think you might find it fun to work with - beware though, erasing isn't an option! :'D
I'm sure you'd be great with colour too, though your greyscale pictures look wonderful as they are!
