The first pages I saw look awesome. I'll sure as hell gonna read it. I'm working on a comic myself but I'm extremely slow. I'm still at the characterization part so it's cool to see people who work so much faster.

It's good to give time and effort for building the story and characters : ). Which genre you would put your comic?
I think that I have been fast with the first 3 chapters but now slow, because it has been almost 3 years old since my last update ; ) (but there will lot of pages).

Oh I guess you could put it into the cyberpunk genre since it's about a big company that is oppressing people and about Robots with artificial human intelligence. But it also involves supernatural aspects like gods etc.

Omfg thanks so friggin much, I just wrote on your page but thanks again this is so motivating. I'll definitely stay here if people like my work that much. I had so many doubts if the committee won't find my drawings too unexperienced since they tend to take people above the age of 20 and I'm well...17 xD. So thanks a lot this gave me a little boost!

Hey, if they do decide you're too young now then don't give up,
apply again in a year or two and I doubt you'll have any trouble.
Just remember that you've got a lot of time ahead of you, if they
do somehow overlook your obvious talent because of your age,
then you have so, so much time still ahead of you to continue
improving and apply again.
Never give up!

And it's finding artists like you that's kept me coming back to dA
for over eight years now, there are so many great artists (and
great people) to be found on here, it's always rewarding finding
something/one that really speaks to you.

If you ever feel a little overlooked, it could be worth joining a
group or two, they tend to be pretty good for sharing art,
meeting loads of like-minded people and getting a bit of a name
in the community. That in itself might not help you get into an
academy but the extra impetus to keep improving definitely will.

I didn't see that you've replied, so sorry for the late reply xD
Yeah, I know I still have so much time ahead of me, but this is actually a little dream for me. So if they won't take me at first I'll probably feel a little disappointed none the less. But you're right I still have enough chances.

I find it actually kind of rude not to answer to the people who take their time to look at your art and support you, but I kinda understand that a lot of people just get too much of that and can't really keep up with it anymore.

I might try to join a few clubs it definitely won't hurt xD.
Also excuse my ghetto way to talk (I even talk like that in German) I see that you are gifted when it comes to poetry. I started writing a few books but I was never really happy with them I feel like I'm kinda good in a lot of things but only really good at drawing/painting.

Saying that with the chances, I'm sure I don't need to say to give this
time your all, I really doubt you'll need any more if you do. If I came
across a bit pessimistic in the last comment I didn't mean to be, guess
it's become a bit of a bad habit.

I agree with you fully there, but yeah, it must be tough having so
many people vying for your attention to not just give up trying to
answer each individually. Luckily (I think?) I've never had to worry
about that myself

I'm glad you think so, thanks. It'd be interesting to see some of your
written work I think. Don't ignore other passions just because you
don't feel as naturally competent, if you go a bit further back in my
gallery (with "all" selected too, I've hidden a lot in folders) you'll see
it isn't that long since I was writing embarrassingly bad pap...

Who knows, if you keep writing every now and then, maybe when
you've finished the illustration course you could make a living writing
and illustrating your own books, that'd be something wonderful to
see. ^_^
