As far as authority goes, I can tell who can or can't post whatever the they want but that can't stop them from posting. However theΒ digital millennium copyright act of 1998 dictates otherwise, so it's at the discretion of whoever is responsible for pursuing relevant cases to deal with situations like this one. I'm just pointing out the violations here marmite.

Then why the fuck didn't you say so holy hell. She left the site and took all her art with her. Now to go back to my original argument that you skipped right the fuck over trying to make your claim, unless OP has gotten the explicit permission of Becca, the original artist of those works, and the commissioner to make such an archive then that would be perfectly fine and would follow the archive clause in the DMCA. Without it that is the equivalent of theft. Don't believe me here's a take down notice on this specific channel not too long ago
The name is erased as I have gotten the permission of the one who filed the actual claim due to her own art being stolen. This one to be exact. Also cropped extensively for example purposes.Β

Because asking all users to send in Becca's work falls under fair use, right, except you missed the part where I said Becca and the commissioner need to give consent. She left the site and took all her artwork with her. It's not up to the community to decide to post her art without both parties in question giving permission. Your counter just further backs up the original intent of violating the archive clause by asking any and every user to re-post her artwork without consulting her and the commissioner of her works.Β

If it isn't yours to begin with, you need permission from the owner to make a public archive out of it. Even if you do own you can only make private copies if you don't have the owner's explicit permission to make a public archive.
