The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - the main story quest requires the player to either kill Paarthurnax, or NOT have the blades on their side ... the mod enables Paarthurnax to live and the Blades to still work with the player. The Player basically explains to Delphine that Paarthurnax should not have to die, that he helped the player a great deal and sided with the player.
I assume you either haven't played TESV:Skyrim, or you've just not gotten that far in the storyline?
