I never thought I'd meet many people on Pinterest here on DeviantART! Thank you for the welcome!! (yay emoticons!) And if you don't mind answering a few, I do have a few questions -being a newbie and all- for this website...

First off, what are badges ? I've seen people with badges on their profile, but I've never actually know what they are for exactly... Also, do you know anything about chats? I've asked other members, but they didn't know much about it.

haha, I actually had to check your Pinterest profile after going through your pins because I thought you might possibly be one of my friends on ff.net Your comments on some of them- I could've written them myself.

...Suuu, the badges: they're just to show others how awesome you think they are, or others to you. Llamas are free, but things like cake badges and stuff cost money (you also have to buy premium membership, unless someone gives it to you) or for this website, 'points' which you can get through donation pools or commissions, etc. 

...Chats! If you click the down arrow at the top left by the DA icon, one of the options in the dropdown menu is 'chat.' you either have to select an existing chat room or create a new one, then get your friends in it at the same time if you wanna chat with them.

Thank you for answering my questions! Although the response for badges also aroused more, like 'what are commissions?' and 'what are donation pools?' But you don't have to answer them if you don't want too! I've still got so much to learn...

Don't hesitate to ask away, I don't mind A commision is when someone pays you to make an art piece for them. A commission can be fanart or original; digital, traditional, sculpted, etc. I've never done one, but I think people use DA points to do the commission (points that you have to buy or be given). whiiiich brings us to donation pools! You can start a donation pool on your profile, basically just a place for deviants who like you to throw in points here and there for free. This little symbol means DA points:
