Hello! It has come to my attention, that you have drawn basically an ark (well done!). I work at a renown Herptile ranch called SandFire Dragon Ranch. All I really want to say is; when you draw animals, don't forget about the little frogs and newts too! Zoos, research, pet industry, and even conservation organizations protect and try to make herptiles (reptiles and amphibians) prosper, but if the animal is insignificant, they do a thing called a "fade-out". In which they end all help to that species. My mentor, Bob Mailox was starting out in this field of research and industry before the 60's. He told me back then- about how you could get these vast amounts of strange and weird creatures, and it wouldn't be costly! they were from the unreached jungles of the worlds.
I asked him:
- Is there anything you wish you'd realized about the world of work when you were my age?
And he replied..
- "...Theres a lot, mainly, at that point there was a lot of animals that were largely available then, that are almost impossible to obtain now because some are extinct, or they closed borders to those country. I wish I saved the toads and frogs I would see in Costa Rica. In the 70's there were hundreds of species of frogs, but now if you o back, you only hear birds.. I wish I would of known what I know now. I'd be a millionaire, since no one else is working like that. I wish I made a Noah's Arch.

I did get a chance to look at your gallery. Very impressive. You have quite the collection of dinosaurs! I have noticed that as you progress with your dinosaurs your work improves. I've got one pointer for you. When drawing the animal, reference as many fossil pictures as possible. But refer to a single complete skeleton. That way you aren't limiting yourself to one interpretation of the skeleton but keeping to one picture. I have run into many a time where I am using many different references only to mix them up and draw the wrong animal. There are different species of the same dinosaur. Make sure you have the right one from a credible source.
When you are drawing a dinosaur make sure to get the proportions right. Start by measuring the head with a ruler or your pencil. Than use that length to measure the rest of the animal. The neck could equal 4 head lengths. This way the dinosaur doesn't look awkward in the final illustration.
Lastly, as you have been doing so, enjoy your work and the progress it takes. Don't give up and take every critique and comment constructively. You as an artist are allowed to make your own artwork so don't let other people get in your way, let them help you.
I'll get down off of my soap box now. Just some helpful pointers from one artist to another.
