You've done a superb job on these models. As a tf2 and gmod player I can not thank you enough.
If you have decided a release date please tell me. If not that's fine.
I also hope your future projects go as well as this one.

Your pirate models are really really impressive!! I'd love to play it one day <3
Mind if I ask, what software do you use for modeling and such? I have Blender (because it's free haha) do you think it's a good software I can start with?
Cheers mate, your work is fantastic!

Blender is ok to get a basic understanding of how modelling software works, but if you really want to get into 3D; you'll want to get your hands on a copy of Maya or 3DSMAX or even Softimage (i think its just called XSI now). These are the top of the line industry programs, a bit on the pricey side but i think they do free trials and/or student licenses.
I use Maya for the modelling and rendering and Photoshop for the texture work.
I started with just messing around in these programs. There is an imeasurable wealth of free tutorials on the web for all sorts of things. Websites such as 3dtotal are a great resource for such tutorials. If you're interested in character modelling; i advise following the Joan of Arc tutorials (i think its still on 3dtotal somewhere).
Oh, and any tutorials from the Gnomon workshop are solid gold if you can get your hands on them ^^
If there is any more advice you need or if you have any questions just give me a shout and ill be happy to help

This is all amazing! Bookmarked the the tutorial pages C: I'm not sure if I can find those softwares in my country but I still haven't even started haha I'm mostly curious. My main art field is drawing but I like to learn new things, and I have a strong passion for games so for me 3D is really something amazing that I'd like to get my hands on.
Thank you very much for the tips!! You're awesome CB

Really cool work you're doing... I like the high level of recognizeability that almost all your characters share (with the Pyro being an understandable exception, looking at the concept). It's a great idea that Valve will hopefully pick up on and reward you in some very unique item-esque fashion ^^
