Thank you, for your kind words. Conversely, I'm amazed by how you can capture nature in your work - beautiful.Β
Please excuse my ignorance but I was wondering what a Silver Hands artist was?Β

Hi! Thanks for your comment, I am happy to answer your question, it is not ignorant!
The Silver Hand program helps Alaska Native artists promote their work in the marketplace, and their logo helps customers identify authentic native art.Β To be eligible you have to be a full-time resident of Alaska, and need to be in a native tribe. Silver hands also provides copyright protection, so that my artwork is legally protected against art theft. ere is some more information.Β education.alaska.gov/aksca/natβ¦
If you ever happen buy native crafts in Alaska, make sure it has a silver hands label on it so you know it is authentic, hand-made by a real native.Β

Black and white seems to work for me, mainly from the visions I've had from other hallucinogenic realities and colouring in old black and white newspapers as a kid. I wasn't interested in colouring books for some reason. I did however do a pink mandala for a Tibetan refugee girl when I stayed with her family in the Himalayas some years back. Pink was her favourite colour and I managed to step outside my black and white comfort and find a pink maker. It was rewarding!
But yours my friend are creations i could only dream of attempting. Your surreal landscapes coupled with perspective leaves me clueless as to how to even start. I'm an old fashioned 2D freehand but would love to be able to introduce 3D perspective!

I apologize, but there is unfortunately a misunderstanding. Many artists make this mistake, and I ask for your forgiveness! If you go to Jeremiah's profile page you will see that it is a memorial page. Jeremiah died more than 9 years ago and for the last 2 and a half years I have made and am maintaining this page in his memory and sharing his art with the other artists on DA to try to keep him alive in the world of art that he loved! I am his mother and I want you to know that I am very grateful to you for the wonderful things you are saying about my son's work! You are very kind and it is a great honor! I do know some things about my son's work and I can tell you that except for the last two years of his life when he was going to graphic design class at the university- all of the art that he made( especially the ones that you are talking about) was by hand only- no help from a computer. H e was an old fashioned traditional artist like you. In fact, he sketched in the drawing first in pencil before finally drawing it in ink( does that help you?). He was also a staunch believer in the constant practice of perfecting realistic drawing and at the same time being very experimental with all mediums and all forms of ideas!
Β Β Having been to the Himalayas( which must have been quite an experience in itself) I'm sure you understand.
Once again, I apologize for the misunderstanding!Β Β Β

Thank you. I'm old school and hoping the practice of putting pen to paper doesn't become extinct.... your work, however, is a vastly superior representation of my mild obsession for universal fractal patterns and ideologies of infinity. I could stare at that shit all day... Awesome in the literal sense!

I've actually been drawing freehand for years but never used social media/websites as a medium before... I'm currently scanning and uploading but takes time.... lot's more to follow!
I don't understand much about deviation and likes etc...Β
Any useful info?

I'm on the same boat as you, it's been a few month since i entered devianart.
Β options for your folder in the gallery
You'll see quickly that as a free user your options are limited: Static number widget, limited statistical information or limited organisationnal options for your folder in your gallery.
For me, the only reason you would go core is because you want to be a professionnal artist. You still have all the social option of a social media platform.Β
About deviation and all thatfor what i understand , deviation is just the term the site use for a drawing or a particular peace of art.Β
At first i didn'T understood what favorites were ,but now i would say it's a way of telling the artist what you think his best work is or the deviantion you liked the most of a artist.
Also there is a way to make money on devianart ,but for the moment i don't really know how it works...
Hope all that is usefull for your.Β
