# About me
I'm Eric van Gastel, an Web & Mobile Game Developer working at my own company, DuskLight Studios.In early 2014, I graduated and got my Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering and Game Design & Technology, a few months later, I got hired by Tibaco to start out in their new and small, but promising game development branch.
My passion and ambition is to create games of quality and detail, making them as solid, immersive and playful as possible. Although I can do a little bit of everything in the field of game development, my main strength is designing gameplay mechanics, programming them and refining them.
Before I got too busy to draw things and upload anything new, I've drawn lots of futuristic space ships and scenes, including some digitally edited versions. You can view all of those in my Gallery. Last few years, I have been seriously neglecting my drawing skills. Time spent on that was replaced by time spent on programming and creating art for games. I do hope to get back to drawing more often, I still need to learn how to draw people and emotions, and work with colours.
Besides creating games and spending too time much on that, I also love playing games. Games such as Minecraft, Skyrim, StarCraft II, EVE online, Guild Wars 2, Dishonered, Borderlands, etc. can keep me occupied for weeks.

Well, almost all my art is of my characters. But sometimes other art or school projects as well. And right now i'm just trying to digitalize my old drawings in photoshop. When i'm done with that, i'll move on to new drawings haha.
