I'm just blocked. I no longer have viewers or comments from people I don't already talk to regularly, so I'm trying to gather the people I still have interest in knowing, and I think I am done for a while. I'm busy with school and life, and I don't have the energy to keep up with much art or all the drama dA has now.

Hi Louis!

You have been waiting way to long for this answer. Hope that you still have the urge to start your own 365 days project despite of this I appologise for this. I have had big computer issues so I have had to buy a new computer.

I will try to answer you the best way I can. I hope I can bee of some help.

I also saw some persons here on DA and it gave me the inspitation to start. I wanted to get better and be more fluent in my drawing and perhaps to find my own kind of style. In the beginning I had the aspiration to draw something every day. It worked for a couple of weeks and then I slacked behind. I found it hard to find the inspiration and time to draw each day, but in contrast. Some days I have been completly occupied with my pen and paper and been very productive. I feel like it has become much easier to put my ideas on paper.

It depends actually. Some drawings I work for during a couple of days and some I finish in a couple of hours. I have found myself doing several drawings at the same time to. Jumping from one to the other until they are done.

In the beginning I put a lot more effort into my drawings and I wanted them to be good right at the beginning. Now it is more like if I don't get satisfied with the first one I have the knowledge that I actually can draw a new version of it. And it's going to be good ^^ I'm not scared of starting over from scrats again so to speak.

It takes a bit of time, but I'm sure that if you start that you will feel that it becomes easie and easier as you go ^^ I wish you the best of luck and if it is something else just write me a line or two ^^

Thank you so much for your elaborate answer. It is a tad bit late - that much is true - (since I already started 365), but it's no big deal.

Okay, it's good to hear from someone else that slacking here is not stepping out of line. I've decided to try each day again, but not forcing myself when impossible. Strange thing is, I don't know if I'm getting better or not; I don't even know if I have some kind of own style. Drawing still takes up a lot of time atm.

I know what you mean by having the knowledge to start over. You never lose when you draw, do you?

Using new media (like watercolour now) helps me keep a clear mind and not get stuck with one type of utencil at hand.
Actually, I'm learning that colours can help a lot more putting down an idea on paper. So, hopefully I'll keep finding new inspirations and find the discipline to persist Your answer def helped, thank you!

Then you have come to the same conclusion that I have. It should be fun to draw. And it get's a lot easier to come up with things to draw too when you not have to force forward it.

It took some time for me (don't know exactly how long), but then I just felt that I got over some kind of "roadblock" (don't know what else to call it in english) and I could see some improvement and now I feel that I have got a better flow with the pen. And it gives you a kind of boast too to continue when you start to feel that. So just keep drawing and it will get easier and easier ^^ !!!


I don't know that either. I recently did a meme where you try diffrent drawing styles. Much fun `^ and instructive at the same time. If your up for it I think it's a really good practise to do. You should try it ^^

I do , I think everyone does. I think that it maybe is more like....dont' now....more like that I'm not afraid to make an ugly drawing....And when I do I try to make the next drawing just a little bit better than the one before. Are you following my way of thinking??

Hey thanks so much for your help. I appreciate elaborate answers like yours a lot. Still drawing regularly, more sketches than anything... but it's really turning into a routine. There are days when I'm stuck in my room, losing track of time, busy drawing x). That's prob not a good thing but hey, getting absorbed in it is a good sign I guess.

I'll just have to try and be more decisive, less worry about the outcome. I can always redraw, like you said...
Let's keep contact every now and then, what do you say?
