Dude I wanna try to write something with Eric and Ashton; problem is, I have NO IDEA what their relationship is like. XD I mean, you place a lot of emphasis on Ashton being "normal", so would she have a "normal" relationship, which so far it doesn't seem like her and Eric have? [maybe a distant one, like Red and Kitty in That 70s Show comes to mind.] Because isn't the normalcy in a relationship USUALLY playful and light and more open with/willing to show your feelings to the partner than one's friends (although yes, the people who have closed hearts).
I ask, 'cause eric sure as hell don't seem like the kind who will be gentle.
ALTHOUGH I WILL CALL IT A REDEEMING TRAIT OF HIS IF HE'S ACTUALLY SOMEWHAT DECENT OF A ROMANTIC AROUND ASHTON OR SOMETHING.

I don't think they're distant; I think they're so close that nobody really knows what's going on with them. I can see Eric as really posessive toward Ashton, and Ashton permitting a bit of that as a good quality.
