One advantage to spiders as subjects are they're, in effect, captive targets on their webs. So long as they're not jumpers who leap down the front of your shirt while you zoom in for a close up.

I started with a JVC digital camera which only lasted a few months before breaking. I bought a Konica Minolta Dimage A2 afterwards and still use that. I altered some photos with Paint Shop Pro where noted.
