Hmmm... Unexpected notes give me a lot of anxiety.
But uh don't worry about it. 
My cynical and sceptical nature has me think first people want something I cannot provide. 
As well as I know you send the exact same messages word for word to a friend of mine which makes me question everything, naturally. 
However, I am of the assumption it is a way for you to try make friends? Which is fine.
I just wanted more time to consider and rid of anxiety first.
I am also struggling with a bad case of depression rn, so I am not the most sound of mind atm, leaning towards pessimism. 
So, I am extremely sorry if I said something that came off as insulting, was not my intention. Just putting down thought process about getting randomly noted.
But I really appreciate the encouraging comments. Certainly, since I am not really feeling well rn.
I'll think about answering the notes for a lil longer, if you don't mind. 
I just rather don't converse with a new person when I am this deep in a pit. 
But the comments made me smile, so thank you.

Also, just a bit of a tip, perhaps first interact with people some on their profile and art for a while before noting. 
It's such a good ice breaker. For me and many others. Since artists are often introverted (not all of course). 
People also like those that keep leaving comments and are more compelled to interact when they recognise your nickname because of frequent comments. (Because eventually you will actually stick, certainly if you keep the same icon for long periods of times, because icon is what people remember before the nickname). 
I often don't expect befriending art senpais, some mutuals or other people I take a shine to, but I actually have been noticed and befriended a few because I kept supporting them as much as I was able to. 
Some faster than others. Because everyone has their own pace.
Just people appreciate genuine interest in their creations and appreciate support and kindness and consideration.
Which, I feel like you possess such characteristics.
I think you'll be a lot more successful if you do it that way ♥
(But I mean, you don't have to, because it's by no means fast).

I suppose you do make excellent points. ;; I’ve had problems in the past with people finding my comments too odd or just post too much. I generally focus on doing my own art and fave what I like.
But I’ll keep that in mind tho. I don’t generally go “look” for friends either. You just seem super lovely and fun from your info and comments.

Hmm... I have no idea what is too odd or too much???
Most artists I watch adore comments? As long as it's not just 1 word all the time, cuz that gets annoying over time. (I don't mind 1 word tbh xD). But people love substance and genuine reactions. So perhaps picking something you like from an art piece could be best? Like the colour palette, composition, character design, etc. There are way too many options to not find anything more specific. 
I liked the squishy comment about my art? I am unsure if others would. But I kinda liked it, because I like making my characters look soft. 
But I dunno, communication is often weird. Is there even a "right" way? And you won't click with everyone even if we'd like to. 
Making friends is something everyone wants to do, but is an intense puzzle that is difficult to know how to deal with. 
Aw, thank you. I try. I am sure there are people out there that disagree. But that's very sweet of you to say. 
It's okay. I can manage. Perhaps the 2nd note so soon did seem a bit pushy. But like I said, I can manage. 
And comments are a better way to break ice in my opinion. 
I have absolutely no qualms with replying comments. 
Notes just give me anxiety due to past occurrences that have nothing to do with you. I don't fault you for trying. 
I just wanted to think a tad more. 
But as said I do appreciate the comments and they aid quite a bit.
