# About me

I am a graduate student working towards a teaching certificate so I can teach high school math. My undergraduate work was in journalism. I am a comic fan. My drawings are all attempts at replicating others work. It is nothing more than a hobby to me right now, but if I do it enough and get better, who knows. Some of my favorite comic artists are Francis Manapul, Ivan Reis, Gary Frank, and Jim Lee. I am also interested in the power of music and comics as teaching tools...unfortunately neither one lends itself easily to teaching math...but that's just part of the challenge for me.
