Ok let me break it down a bit for you -

The role Jewel ended up being slated to play was originally intended FOR Daniela. Jewel wasn't in the story at all until a bunch of meddling occurred behind the scenes with no thought to the fallout. So instead Jewel took Daniela's plot place and Daniela became a supporting character, briefly. Then Jewel did the time travel stuff.

There was to be a time skip later into the main plot bringing stuff forward about 6 years to almost the point where Afterbirth occurred. Of course, Afterbirth wasn't canon and thusly could be adapted/overwritten where necessary. Not as much of that was in concrete but the twins and their heritage would have played a part in the eventual underworld war that Jewel is sent to prevent.

I'm glad you found the PPGD  stuff intriguing, it's my solemn wish that more time went into fleshing that out. I dont think the current writing team has any interest in revisiting that, or giving the comic a proper story any longer.

The evil Dan would have appeared at the end of Afterbirth to mentor the twins and it's likely he'll be involved with the twins in the main timeline too. Same with Nergal Jr and his daughter. The dads aren't entirely deadbeat, unlike Him or Jr's dad.

Lets remember that this time last year GT was on a 3 month break and when it came back there was one page of reaction faces to wrap the chapter and it's been stuck on this pointless side-story ever since. That's nearly a year since the main story even got touched upon.

GT will remain inconsistent until someone new  and competent comes along. The community, or some of it anyway, remember when all the comics were run by people who cared and didn't turn it into their personal vanity projects like certain people have done since. I think they're cluing into the fact that the comics have lost their edge and not much if anything is being done to fix that. Makes sense entirely.

I helped devise her blood-based powers.

My involvement aside, all I want is for the comic to be satisfying to the readers. Im not out for personal gain. I never stuck an OC of mine front and centre. Most of the OCs I ever threw in were one-page cameos or side-characters who often ended up dead along the way.

Glad you enjoy talking to me. Too many people get caught up in the fake hitjobs that have gone out about me over the years. I'm a decent guy, who wanted to help make a decent comic. it's sad to see what happened to it since but if the current crop are stuck in their ways, nothing I can do about it.
