Are you referring to the "The Clone Wars: Resolutions" project? If so, I'm already very familiar with it and am looking forward to that immensely. I just included the "Mandalorian" part because I'm a huge Mando guy and would love to see you do some pieces relating to them.

Actually, after seeing your commission info, I've thought about reaching out to you about just such a thing, at some point. I'm in talks with Joe about doing a commssion, but with the character I have in mind, I won't turn down multiple iterations of him

Some exciting stuff is planned for clone wars resolutions We have to wait though for the clone wars bonus episodes to see with which characters we can actually work with. if they give them enough closure in the clone wars episodes, we can scratch them from the list (which is pretty long though, so don't worry )

I have some Mandalorian concepts in the works, and in addition to that I'm building some beskar for Star Wars celebration Europe, haha!

And dude, frankly, I'm always open for commissions involving people in armour, haha!

Oh sure, sure, that makes sense. It would be horribly awkward to put all of the work into a group of characters, only to find out they have an "established resolution". I just hope that we get the "bonus content" before too much longer.

"Mandalorian concepts"... "Building some beskar"... I just love it.

How far along is your beskar? And will you be putting up pictures? I'm half tempted to look you up through Facebook (through Joe, of course) and add you on there!

When you've the time, and as soon as I get the details of my character 100% ironed out, I definitely want to talk a Mando commission or two with you at some point.

It's coming along fine dude Got the complete chest plate done, and the part for the helmet are being sanded right now. Only thing left is to create the leg and writplates, and of course the Kama. The paint job is a matter of a few hours I'm guessing. Electronics for the backlit visor have been ordered, so it should be done in a couple of weeks.

Just really having trouble keeping the glas of visor clean....


And can't wait to get some details of your character mate!

Ha ha, seriously though, I definitely want to talk with you about the creation process; what materials are the best, ballpark cost, the best ways to color, and everything else that's related.

I can't remember if I've already told you or not, but I really want to make my own set of Mandalorian armor one of these days. Hopefully soon, but we'll see.

That's been one of the biggest problems the past few days; I don't know what color(s) to choose for my armor. The armor that I will one day make will be the armor of the Mando character I've mentioned previously. So, I want to get it right the first time.

Well Most people use a mat called 'Sintra' to make the plating. It's basically plastik plates that you heat up with a heat gun, press it to your body, and hold it there until it's cooled down. It'll stay in shape forever and it's lite. (And it can stop knives and pellet guns, I've tested it on mine, haha)

Usually people buy a pilot jump suit and put the plates on there afterwards to have a classic Mando. I myself wanted something different and more comfortable to wear, so I ordered a motocross chest plate from Amazon, and worked with that, fixing my plates on it with screws. The armour plate is about 10cm thick now, and I feel pretty safe in it, haha!


For the armour you basically use Sintra for the entire body, it's not very complicated.


The helmet is more tricky since you need to get that 'bowl' for the head done. you can't do that with sintra. If you wanna do it yourself, buy a worker-helmet, and hut the top off you can build the rest around. I suggest though (unless you want a really exotic helmet like mine) you buy a kit from one of the many talented artists out there. My friend Peter in Canada sells them for 70$ in two different materials. ll you have to do is sand and paint them. I can hook you up if you want.


I would really not worry about the colour right now. Mando's are know to repaint their armour anyways, so if you screw up and repaint it, it actually makes it feel more authentic, haha

Personally I'm going for Black&Green, with green backlit visor and all.

Everything with red is awesome too, but it's hard to find good red paint out there

The coolest mando i've ever seen was wearing shining gold armour with black decorations. So cool!
