lol. i always ask my math teacher why we need to learn stuff we'll never actually use [i mean really, picture urself drivin a car and u see a tree..would you SERIOUSLY say "OMG A TREE! its height is about 30 feet...minus the lenth of the trunk which is 10 feet... and the width is 27.35243 feet... each leaf is about 3x4 cm.....how many leaves are on that friggin tree?!] and she says "if you were a cashier you'd need to find specific change." and I'm like "if I were a cashier I'd have a calculator built into my cash register." LOL

xD exactly my point. And anyway who wants to be a cashier in my class? I'll give you one guess. Oh, wait, ya got it already - NO ONE.
I say, they teach us the VERY BASICS at the most (adding, subtracting etc) and then we do a course about how to use a really super-powerful scientific calculator - not the-sort-we-use-at-school scientific, but the-sort-they-use-in-research-laboratories scientific. Then we'd be set for life, and maths teachers could look forward to an easy-as-hell course to teach. ¬¬;

OOOOOOOH! *was totally lost a minute ago xD* yeah for the 2 1/2 years i lived in Ireland i remember those were everywhere. there is this one pic of an OOOOLD shell station and it was this tiny little shell-shaped gas pump, and that was the actual station. it was weird xD
