Hi, I have insomnia which I decided to try to cure by reading The Trip.
I'm currently doing A level English and we've been given a challenge to find a fanfiction and adapt/edit it and then write an analysis of it.
I wouldn't post it online because obviously it wouldn't be my original work, or at least not fully, but I wouldn't want to go ahead and use your fic without asking your permission first.
I tried to send a note but the send button disappeared.
Edit: Not that it in any way NEEDS editing/adapting, I chose it mainly for the analysis part. There's just so much to write about! I'd analyse the original. Sorry, I just wanted to make that clear.

I'm ok with you writing about it, but not too sure how I feel about you editing parts of it... If you'd like to write about it though, then that's ok (as long as you don't publish it anywhere, which you say you won't anyway), but make sure you credit me if you do.

The challenge was to find a fan fiction we like, 'improve it' and then write a page of analysis. However, when I collected my results the other week, I showed her a sample of this (the bit where there are a pile of bodies that then disappear) and told her that I really don't want to edit it because there is nothing I can do to improve it, so instead I am leaving it as it is but my analysis would have to be longer.
Basically what I would do is write about word choices, possible foreshadowing (for example when their doppelgängers' go past but Ronald isn't amongst them) and then, how the characters are written.
Thanks for allowing me to write about it, though. As it turns out, I'm not the only one who got out of editing the chosen fanfiction. And I'd never publish my analysis without your permission.
