I'm currently working on a code lyoko fanfic. I already have it submitted to Code-Lyoko-Fanfics. But I would like submit it to more places so it's more likely to get read. Actually, I'd like a critique of the writing style.
Should I become a member and submit here? If so, how are the fanfics organized? I have 5 chapters with 2 or 3 to go. Anyone have suggestions on where else I should post?

Code Lyoko friends! Help! I'm having a major writer's block phase right now! I've been writing for a few days straight and have published 3 chapters so far but now my brain is not cooperating!
Any ideas??

Trust me, I know that feeling. My best way to get over writers block is to read other stories. Now, I'm not saying steal their ideas, of course, but maybe if you ever read something, and you imagined it could've gone another way, thats (kinda) an idea right there! I think the best way is to make something go your way. Like, 'If Sissi went to Lyoko, what would happen?' Or, 'If Jim rather did talk about it, what would it be?' that one could be drabbles.
'If Yumi went with William.' 'If Odd, or Ulrich or someone else was XANAfied instead of William.' 'If XANA was on their side for a change.' 'One of XANA's attacks was a gender bend attack.' 'Sam became a Lyoko Warrior' One of the best ones I know is the Next Gen. What if their kids got the same fate? What would happen. Switch up the pairings, add drama, romance, angst. Do whatever you want. The world is a piece of paper. You just gotta know what to write on it.
Feel free to use any of these ideas.

Has anyone ever noticed the biggest plothole in Code Lyoko? It seems to be so big, no one has noticed. One way not to see the elephant in the room is to be a fly on his back.
The hole is this: the first few episodes reveal that, although resetting time restores the physical world around them back to the moment Zanna activated a tower, it does not bring back to life anything that died during that period. Yet, even though the system resets all things, the story only takes into account things that die in the kids immediate environment. HELLO! Millions of plants animals and people all die around the world every moment. What is the net effect of a period of, say, ten days, from tower activation to shut down on all those dead things? Unexplainable synchronized death on terrifying scale.
Here's an example: an out of shape middle aged man somewhere in the world is driving in high speed traffic at rush hour at the moment Zana activates a tower. He gets home without incident. The next day, he has a massive heart attack at work and dies; has a funeral and is buried over the next few days. Then the tower is deactivated and the whole world is reset, and the corpse is suddenly back in the driver's seat, all traces of 9 days of being dead erased, but no less dead now. It slumps against the wheel, causing the car to turn suddenly and flip sideways, causing the cars behind to crash in a horrible pile up, killing and maiming dozens of people who had gotten through the previous time line just fine.
That's just ONE man's death. Imagine everyone dying at once that were supposed to die over ten days. Murderers would get away with it without even having to remember doing it, let alone all trace of evidence being erased. Soldiers in Iraq woud be found dead for no reason, causing panic about possible new weapons. Hundreds of cattle awaiting slaughter would all die together, causing panic of some disease, leading to massacring the surviving cattle to prevent possible communicablity. Investigating to figure out what is causing all of this would have massive money put behind it to solve it. How could the kids war with Zana go unnoticed for 3 years without interpol zooming in on their school in France?

If I credit my resources using (c), does that count? I didn't use any specific image in my deviations since I didn't take the poses from official screenshots.
I mean, if you want me to go back and find the pictures I used for the colors, sure, I can, but I just want to check with you.

I believe I left an explanation with one of the submissions that was declined but for works that use a screenshot or existing work for trace or reference material, the original work needs to be linked to or credited in the description. The reason for this is outlined in the Group's most recent journal, but the short version is that this is to stay in compliance with DA's rules regarding using other artist's work as well as being in the spirit of giving proper credit where it is due.
You are welcome to re-submit any of the pieces you submitted. Just be sure to credit the works you used for reference. For example, your Vocaloid/CL pictures in particular used scenes from the "Confront!" music video for reference.

The strange thing is... one of them was credited when I orgininally posted them, which that doesn't make sence?? No offence, but is it that 'if one of them isn't credited, the other's are sure to be not'

No. Each individual description is checked. I believe the 3 that you submitted were the two "Vocaloid/CL" pieces, and the one with a Xanified Yumi. None of them has a link to the source work used for reference, particularly the Vocaloid pieces.
If there was however an additional piece that was submitted but denied, it may have been because it expired in the submission queue by accident. There were over 60 submissions in the queue as of recently and it takes awhile to look through them all.

Except, if you read the most recent journal entry for this group, it's not simply about traces. It's also about using existing works for reference material (the same way you would use stock images). To use the Vocaloid/CL pieces as an example, when compared against the scenes in the music video (starting at around 0:39), they were at the very least referenced from that source material.
Honestly, in order to have your piece submitted, all you would need to do would be to include a link to the music video (which contains the referenced poses/faces in the description to your pieces) in lieu of screenshots from it. Just credit the source material. That's all the submission guidelines are asking of pieces submitted to the group.

I'm sorry but it is not mine, nor this group's fault that you cannot properly credit a source for the screenshots you use in your submissions. If they are screenshots that you have taken yourself then simply credit Moonscoop as the original creators. It is really not that hard. This was stated in a recent journal for this Group as well and it has been part of DA's TOS for quite some time. Give credit where credit is due.
