Strange place to start a conversation, and a slow place to start a conversation, while I do not log out of DA, I usually just leave a window open for it but don't have it up. I'm not used to people starting conversations out of the blue here on DA.

Well, casual conversations usually aren't held on the main page of a Deviant unless the commenter has a question to ask of the person. It's cool that you want to reach out to me (I'm a little standoffish because of past events and am terrible at casual talk), I'm not used to people casually talking to me here.Β

Though you're art does show promise! I can't draw anime for the life of me, so that is a talent I can admire. People are hard to get down.

Advice I can give, is draw all the time, keep a small sketchbook on you. Find many many resources and references. While bases or screenshot drawing can be helpful, I've found they actually limit what you can do. Just go for it and have fun.
