The comic is now in development. I still need to work for money but, I'm planning to release the first chapter this year as a part of 4 one shot comics. If the chapter gets popular then ill devote more time to it.

sorry i took so long to reply. No im a recent graduate from SCAD and right now im working on producing a pretty awesome fan comic series and pitching my original comic series a few publishers.Β

yes the freedom to do your own work is amazing but at time its gets a bit difficult to keep doing work unless your getting paid for it but im woeking around it. don't worry im not procrastinating, in fact i just pitched a comic today, ill put up the pages soon. how about you, you think you'll go independent?

And as for me, I sold a chapter of my comic last year but the printing agencies here suck so it didn't turn out too well :1 I wanna try getting the next one in the Phillipines or something but ughh the cost of that will murder me eme) I'm sad....

I know what you mean the best thing I've found is to make the job as easy as possible. For example someone wants me to illustrat the pages for there childerns book, they have a script but have not done a layout or thumbnails for there book. I tell them that to go and do there layout they contact me again to only do the illustration which will be done by this date and will cost this much and thats all I'm going to do. people think that doing art is supposed to be fun and it is but it is also work and should be treated as such. you want me to do more work fine but you have to pay for it.Β

I know! I especially hate it when they commission you to make their manga but they barely pay you 5% of what you're supposed to get per page and on top of that you have to design the characters too, *flips table!*
They have decent printing there for mangas, and it's either that or Germany or Japan I guess e-e)

lol i know how that feels, i just started working full time as a freelancer last month and i've had to deal with a huge number of people's ridiculous price points, i'm now starting to adjust my price accordingly but man what some people think art is worth is ridiculous. oh i also started pitching my origin comic this month.
