You're welcome, I love his robe design. It's hard to come across designs like that that don't have huge sleeves or fiddly lower garments.

I tried to make this look more like an uniform and since the design spread to a few more characters, I restricted myself to a certain line. Besides, I try to keep the clothing of my character on the range of comfortable and easy to move in. Easier to react in a fighting situation.

I did notice the uniform appearance, it's a nice touch. It always bothers me when I see fantasy characters with long, flapping robes who are supposed to take part in battles. I mean, it looks nice, but you'd be tripping up quite a lot. Yours are a nice practical style, with a good use of colour too.

Truth be told, even in real life people have worn in battle incredibly uncomfortable things just because it was in fashion or some such nonsense. When I paint wizards, robes are okay but I always take care that the sleeves are well above the wrist as to not get in the way and the rest of the robes to be above the ankles and cut to allow movement.

That's the best way to have robes, with a healthly mix of armour and comfortable to move in. Oh, what happened to the days when you could just out-fab your opponent in war with style? That wouldn't make for a good game/movie I suppose XD

I usually transpose myself in some sort of engineer or designer when I work on mechanical things or clothing. Its weird since I don't have any kind of taste in fashion and I'm the jeans and tshirt kind of guy myself.
