Interesting self-discovery: I don't consider myself homophobic at all. I have gay friends, neighbors, family members, I've worked successfully with and for gay people for over 20 years, and I'm an active supporter of gay rights.
Then I discovered your stuff and I, like many viewers, assumed your subjects were women. I happened to read a caption and realized they were male, and suddenly, instinctively, I found myself rejecting them, at least as erotica. Nothing in the artwork had changed of course, just my perception.
I really would like to be evolved enough for this not to make a difference -- a beautiful, sexy person is a beautiful, sexy person, right?. Yet I find myself unable to wrap my head around it. Anyway, I wonder how many otherwise-open-minded and progressive guys have run into this little dilemma when confronted with your artwork.

Well thank you. c: That kind of just made my day. I mean, it's not like I draw my characters the way I do because I'm trying to make a statement of anything. It's genuinely what I like, and it's always nice to meet people who are into that, too. If someone else likes it because they perceive my characters as women, that's fine too. What other people are getting out of my artwork is no business of mine. The only thing that does bother me is when it's not enough for people to quietly imagine the character is of their preferred gender, but demand that I validate their interpretation. Which I won't do, because my art is primarily for me, and it doesn't matter to me if others don't share my taste.

But then I realized it was much more about me than you. Indeed keep on making what makes you happy, as we all should - you're doing it brilliantly!
