Your zen pattern ink drawings have made me a fan.Β  Perhaps for life.Β  Who knows.Β  I live for the moments where time stops to exist and there is only the beauty of the patterns of the ink.

Do you do commissions?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

CreatingAJ In reply to SmearingSin [2015-07-08 00:03:46 +0000 UTC]

I do, but I do real life commissions. lol I know on here a lot of people do digital art commissions for points or what have you but since all my work is traditional, and most of all my work is for sale, then my commission consists of, money payment and then upon completion of said piece, I mail it to your home. But I mostly ship in the U.S.

You've been featured here to help gain a bit more exposure to your artΒ  ProjectPorkchop Vol403:icontristocean:
Tristan is a professional digital artist from France. He is proficient in the art of photomanipulation and produces works that are full of romance and magic. Probably the most striking thing about his work is the lighting which gives an ethereal glow that lights up the canvas. If you have not seen Tristan's work then you don't know what you are missing!

April is a traditional artist from the US. She has a distinguishable abstract painting style that is quite remarkable. She creates large and very detailed works called zentangles, which are essentially overlapping shapes with different pattern fills. Her striking use of color really adds distinction to her pieces and her brush strokes aΒ Β

Hey! I just saw your work, i really appreciate your work, especially the later pieces! The patterns you use are really nice and the shades are great!
I can guess you first draw the patterns with chinese ink and then use watercolors on it (or maybe the opposite...), is that right?
Anyway, keep on with your art!

CreatingAJ In reply to TheUnknownPainter [2014-06-14 05:03:55 +0000 UTC]

Thank you so much! I actually use a much simpler technique! I just blend a few watercolors on mixed media 98lb paper, and then draw on top of it with sharpie, then add a few highlights with white liquid golden paint. Β

TheUnknownPainter In reply to CreatingAJ [2014-06-14 17:25:55 +0000 UTC]

But i think some simple techniques can provide some amazing results, especially for visual arts.
I'm sorry, i actually know very few things about the technical part of art, especially the words, because i learnt by myself, what is sharpie?

I saw you live in New Orleans, that's great, i'd love to go there one day, must be a very inspiring place.
But, i felt so devastated for what happened in this town recently...

New Orleans is inspiring, but man to be able to go to France! lol Life is about epp and flow, good and the bad, the ying and the yang! Still won't change the way I feel..

TheUnknownPainter In reply to CreatingAJ [2014-06-17 19:29:56 +0000 UTC]

France can be inspiring but lately, there's a smell of rot and decadence, i think i need fresh air...
I just think it's too much bad at once for such a great place, and maybe it's hard to judge from a distance but i think the US government didn't really help.
