# About me
Welcome to Creature Graphics!Thank you for showing an interest in my artwork and dolls! I can guarantee each doll is unique and one of a kind, completely handmade by me.
I studied 3D Graphics and Animation at the SAE Institute in Amsterdam where I learned 3D modelling and game art. After I finished my degree, I continued my studies using Zbrush, an advanced 3D sculpting program. I also completed a course in 3D printing at Mold3D Academy, where I Iearned how to print my designs. It was at this stage that I decided to design and produce my first art doll.
Each doll has custom 3D printed parts that are completely hand sculpted in Zbrush, exported out and printed in very fine detail in high quality PLA (polylactic acid) with a layer height of 100 microns (=0.1mm). The dolls core is made of iron wire so that the doll is flexible and can be posed in many different stands. The 3D printed parts are assembled onto the core frame and are then hand painted. Finally, the core frame is padded and a faux fur covering is applied to complete the doll. My dolls do not consist of any animal-derived materials, they are also smoke and allergy free!
I put my heart and soul into every single creature I make, paying close attention to small details. If you ever have a suggestion for something that you would like to see available in my shop, please feel free to drop me a note!

I have a question about your creative expansion on creatures. I've been wanting to commission you for a looooong time, but I wasn't sure if you would be able to do my forest spirit. What do you think? Is this something you think you'd be able to do?

I am currently sitting on my own possible doll (my dear wolf Nishi)
and I have some trouble finding the right color-tone for her fur.
Are there any places you can suggest where I could look for fur?
Maybe certain online shops? And do you have any chance experience with dying fur?
(I might need to do that, should I not find her color)

I usually buy my fake furs on markets that are held close to my town or I buy them from different online shops! I rather buy furs in local shops though so I can see exactly what I am buying. Colours can be a bit misleading online. Most online shops do offer like a sample for 1 euro or so, then they'll cut off a small piece of the fur and send it your way so you can check the colours before buying a meter of fabric!
I saw on your page that you live in Germany? This is a dutch store but they deliver to Germany and other european countries too and they have lots of variety (can be pricey though):

This is another very good shop and the materials are a little cheaper, this is a dutch shop too so you'll have to pay a little more for postage:

Also, dying fur can be a little tricky, I have done this before though. The way I do it is firstly mix the colour that you want with Acrylic paint, then add warm water to it so it becomes runny. After this you apply it to which ever fur you want to use it on (white is usually the easiest as it soaks up the colour easily) and then I brush it a few times with a wire comb to get rid of all the clumps. Hairdry it lukewarm (be careful with this because very hot air can make fake fur burn or flammable). Then brush again. Keep repeating until it's dry. Here is a tutorial that I followed on youtube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=edLGUL…
Hope this helps!! And goodluck with making your gorgeous character! I'd love to see it once it's finished!

There we go. She isn't perfect, but for the fact that I have two left hands when it comes to sewing and the fact that she is my first ever posable doll, I think she didn't come out too shabby.

Oh wow she looks great!!
I think you already did an amazing job considering it's your very first one, seriously. Sewing can be very tricky indeed and the same goes for sculpting and painting. It takes a lot of practice, but you managed to get quite slim looking legs already which in my opinion is something that's very difficult, especially when you're trying to figure out how to do everything at the same time. Make sure to give her a nice place in your room where you can see her well so you can feel proud every time you look at her. I did the same with my first dolls.
Are you planning on making more now that you've finished this one?

Thanks a lot! Especially for the helpful advises. I am also inpressed by how much I learned by making this first doll.
I do indeed plan on making more, though the next doll might have to wait for a bit, since I plan on making a smoke fountain first.

No problem, I am glad I could help a little! I am sure your next doll will be even more amazing.
And oooh a smoke fountain, that must be pretty difficult too! Goodluck with that!
