Do you know if red tegus grow larger than black and white tegus? Just wondering because someone is selling their red tegu on craigslist and they live really close by me!

Reds I think do grow a little larger then black and whites. Males grow bigger than females. I do know for cretin reds need allot of fruit in their diet to shed properly compared to black and whites. If they don't get it they can have bad problems with ringing in their fingers and even there tail. The circulation will be cut off and there extremity will fall off. I would love to hear updates on your guy, let me know how it goes :) (Smile)

Ah okay. Thanks a lot for the info! It's still up in the air right now whether or not I will end up getting him due to my current living situation and space issues. Though I think that that issue may be resolved fairly soon. But we'll see what happens! =) (Smile)

He's so beautiful! According to the owner he's 2 years old and a couple feet long so far.

They're usually full grown in a year or two so I bet he won’t grow anymore which might be a good thing lol. Good luck!
